In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. STMicroelectronics smart sensor based on L6364W IO-Link transceiver

STMicroelectronics presented the STEVAL-IOD04KT1 kit, designed to create a modern intelligent industrial sensor with the ability to connect via the IO-Link interface.
The kit contains a STEVAL-IOD004V1 main board with an L6364W dual-channel transceiver (the board is not available separately), a STLINK-V3MINI programmer, a 14-pin flat cable, and an M8-M12 industrial connector adapter. The board has an STM32G071EB microcontroller to run a demo version of the IO-Link v.1.1 stack and program code for controlling the L6364W transceiver and industrial MEMS sensors.
The microcontroller, sensors, and other microcircuits on the board are powered by a 3,3V DC/DC converter built into the L6364W. An M8-M12 adapter is used to connect the board to the IO-Link interface.
The STLINK-V3MINI programmer is connected to the board via a flat cable. Due to the small size of the L6364W and STM32G071EB CSP packages, the main board has a miniature size of 45,8 x 8,3 mm and can be easily integrated into industrial sensor packages.

switch to select the transmission mode (transparent, single or multioctet);
reset button;
10-pin connector for the possibility of expanding the functions of the board;
SWD connector for debugging and programming;
operating voltage 7...32 V;
protection against current surges (up to + - 3 A with a 500 Ohm resistor) and reverse polarity;
compliance with standard requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and radiation;
RoHS certification.
