Here are some recipes white and rouge.

French whitewash

  • Steatite 2 kg;
  • Lemon oil 5 g;
  • Bergamot oil 5 g.

Steatite is crushed into the finest powder, elutriated, dried and flavored with perfume. Steatite does not act on the skin, and therefore these whites are completely harmless.

Theatrical blush

  • Chalk purified 400 g;
  • Carmine (good quality) 50 g;
  • Benzoin tincture 50 g;
  • Adequate amount of rose water.

Dissolve carmine and benzoin tincture in rose water, and the resulting solution is added gradually to the chalk until a thick paste is obtained. The paste is placed in molds for thickening.

Whitewash that gives whiteness to the skin of the face

  • Magnesium sulphide salt 28 g;
  • Sulphuric salt 14 g;
  • Rose water 0,5 l;
  • Cologne 170 g;
  • Boric acid 28 g.

Dissolve magnesium sulphate in rose water, and zinc sulphate in cologne. Both solutions are mixed and boric acid is added. Leave overnight and then filter.

Method of use

Moisten the face with whitewash with a sponge and let dry, then wipe the face with a dry towel.

Face blush

  • Carmine 28 g;
  • Talc of the best quality 600 g;
  • Acacia gum 50 g

The first three substances are mixed in a mortar, a few drops of ammonia and a little water are added, after which everything is stirred into a homogeneous mass. Water is added little by little until the whole mass turns into a paste, which must be immediately placed in glass or porcelain molds. Carmine belongs to the category of fatty substances and therefore is difficult to mix with water. The addition of ammonia facilitates this mixing, and the smell of ammonia disappears.

Liquid blush

35% of the best finely ground carmine is dissolved in 60 g of ammonia; the mixture in a large bottle is left in a warm room for a while, and it is often shaken. Then add 2 liters of rose water; the resulting mixture is left to stand with frequent agitation for 8 days, after which it is left alone until the liquid becomes completely clear. This liquid is drained from the sediment and bottles are filled with it.

Liquid white

100 g of wheat starch, 100 g of talc and 200 g of white lead are mixed well, then the mixture is triturated with 400 g of rose water and 80 g of orange water.

Thoroughly mix 500 g of talc with 200 g of basic nitrogen-bismuth salt, sift, pour over 3 kg of rose water in a narrow-necked bottle and shake thoroughly.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Smartphones against poachers 19.06.2013

The American non-profit organization Rainforest Connection has announced a project to protect the rainforests of Indonesia from illegal logging, reports NewScientist. The organization proposed to install in the forests where "black loggers" operate, sound sensors that can respond to the sound of a saw and immediately notify the forest services about cutting down (indicating the location of violators). It is proposed to use smartphones based on Android as sensors.

The pilot project, which starts in June, will involve new smartphones - their Rainforest Connection was provided by partner companies. Going forward, however, the organization wants to use used devices donated by users. Special software will be installed on the devices and fixed on trees. Each phone, claims Rainforest Connection, is able to "listen" to the territory with a radius of half a kilometer. The microphone of the device in search of noise will be permanently on. The smartphone will be powered by solar panels.

Rainforest Connection does not rule out that public control may subsequently be established over the felling. Through mobile applications, the facts of illegal logging will be notified not only to special services, but also to everyone.

The rain forests of Indonesia are the third largest in terms of area after the forests of the Amazon and the Congo Basin. The forests are home to many species of animals and birds, many of which are endangered. According to the Rainforest Connection, more than a million hectares of forest are cut down annually in the country.
