Below are some recipes washing powders.

I. Washing powder "Rapid"

1st recipe:

Boil with constant stirring: 3 parts of the remnants of any fat or oil, 3 parts of ammonia (carbon dioxide) soda and 8 parts of hot water. After saponification, 1 part of talc and 8 parts of weathered soda are added, dried and ground.

2st recipe:

Mix 6 parts weathered soda, 3 parts potash, 1 part plain soap powder. Mix 90 parts of soda ash and 5 parts of borax.

II. Powder for washing "Perhydrol"

Most of the bleaching agents used in laundry have a bad effect on fabrics due to the content of more or less significant amounts of free alkali in these powders. In view of this, the composition, which has become widespread in Germany, deserves attention. The solution acts as a bleaching agent and at the same time does not corrode the fabric at all.

This powder consists of: 40 parts of plain soap in powder, 35 parts of ammonia (carbon dioxide) soda, 3 parts of liquid glass, 12 parts of water, 20 parts of sodium peroxide.

Sodium peroxide is packaged separately from other ingredients (preferably in a tin) and mixed with them only at the time of use. During boiling, sodium peroxide decomposes into sodium hydroxide and oxygen and, combining with water, forms hydrogen peroxide (perhydrol), which is known to be a good bleaching agent. The resulting hydroxide, in turn, binds with fatty substances into soap, which, together with the soap powder included in this composition, completes the wash. The tool works flawlessly. The absence of a harmful effect on tissues is due to the chemical interaction of the constituent parts.

III. Powder "Phoenix" for washing

  • 35 parts of water;
  • 55 parts of anhydrous soda;
  • 5 parts of anhydrous liquid glass;
  • 5 parts waterless soap.

Based on the studies of the chemical city laboratory in Breslavl, conducted by Professor Stein, Dr. Bischof, Ginterkirch and Kraft, on the effect of the Phoenix powder on the fibers of linen, it is necessary to recognize the Phoenix lye as harmful to linen, since when using it for washing linen is destroyed faster than from the action of the powder "Perhydrol".

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food.
