It is designed for instant fixation of round parts - axles, rods, rollers and the like. It can be used when drilling end holes, milling flats, grooves or slots. The clamp will also help out in the metalworking of parts, since it is convenient to fix it in a vice. Another advantage of the device is the reliable fixation of the part during its processing.

The design consists of only four parts. These are two handles, then a base cut from a 20 mm thick steel plate. A round post with two prismatic grooves is planted in a hole in the base and welded. Cylindrical parts are captured by a collar: the contour of its inner part is formed by a combination of sections of the Circle and the Archimedean spiral.

The device works like this. The rod is inserted into one of the prisms, the clamp turns - the part is fixed.

The clamp allows you to work with rollers with a diameter of 7 to 12 mm. If necessary, it can also be used to process non-circular parts.

Major risk factor for gambling addiction 07.05.2024

Computer games are becoming an increasingly popular form of entertainment among teenagers, but the associated risk of gaming addiction remains a significant problem. American scientists conducted a study to determine the main factors contributing to this addiction and offer recommendations for its prevention. Over the course of six years, 385 teenagers were followed to find out what factors may predispose them to gambling addiction. The results showed that 90% of study participants were not at risk of addiction, while 10% became gambling addicts. It turned out that the key factor in the onset of gambling addiction is a low level of prosocial behavior. Teenagers with a low level of prosocial behavior do not show interest in the help and support of others, which can lead to a loss of contact with the real world and a deepening dependence on virtual reality offered by computer games. GeForce GTX 1650 Low Profile Accelerators 23.08.2019

ASUS has announced two new GeForce GTX 1650 series graphics accelerators - the GTX1650-O4G-LP-BRK and GTX1650-4G-LP-BRK solutions.

The video cards are based on the NVIDIA Turing architecture. The key features of GeForce GTX 1650 solutions are 896 CUDA cores and 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with 128-bit bus (effective frequency - 8000 MHz). The base frequency of the chip core is 1485 MHz, the boosted frequency is 1665 MHz.

Both ASUS new products received a low-profile design: the height is only 41 mm. This allows accelerators to be used in compact computers, for example, in home multimedia centers.

The cards are capable of operating in Gaming Mode and OC Mode. In the GTX1650-4G-LP-BRK model, the base and boosted core frequencies in the first case correspond to the reference values, in the second they increase to 1515 MHz and 1695 MHz.

Modification GTX1650-O4G-LP-BRK in Gaming Mode operates at frequencies of 1485/1710 MHz, in OC Mode - at frequencies of 1515/1740 MHz.

The accelerators are equipped with a dual-slot cooler with two fans. The latter are protected from dust according to the IP5X standard, which provides increased reliability.

For image output, one DVI-D, HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4 interface is provided. Card dimensions - 182 x 69 x 41 mm.
