It is not possible for everyone to sew a backpack specially designed for a specific purpose, but it is possible to improve a purchased one. The main thing is to make comfortable straps. Putting a full backpack on your shoulders with regular straps can be difficult, especially if you are wearing warm clothes.

However, you can do this. In the lower corners of the bag, instead of traditional fasteners, fasten wide rings (metal or, for example, from a halyard passed through a PVC tube). Pass each of the straps, slightly increasing in length, into the corresponding ring, and fasten at the end with a detachable lock buckle.

Now, to put on a backpack, you do not have to ask a friend for help: it will not be difficult to put your hand through the maximum length strap. It remains, by pulling the straps, to connect them with a lock in front, on the belt.

Now the straps are stretched, and the weight of the backpack is to some extent redistributed from the straps to the belt. In addition, in addition to the convenience of putting on, such a backpack is more clearly fixed on the back: it no longer slips to the side.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. inflatable oven 01.01.2003

The American firm Soltac has released an inflatable solar oven.

It is a "bubble" of aluminized polyester film which, when inflated, takes the form of a parabolic solar collector. A cauldron with a volume of one and a half liters, placed in focus, boils in an hour and a half in the middle latitudes - of course, only on a sunny day.

A special black pot with a Teflon coating inside is attached to the stove, in which the whole structure is packed when carried.
