Secrets of repairing household radio-electronic equipment

SONY CPD-100SF

Fault: frames run and do not stop by adjusting the potentiometers on the rear panel, and if it can be stopped, the image is very unstable.

Remedy: Use an oscilloscope to check the paths of external vertical sync pulses coming from the video card. Check connecting cables and connectors. Check framing circuits.

This puts the transistor into a softer mode of operation and eliminates a pulsed breakdown (it is "eaten up" by the capacitor). Solder with high temperature solder. The transistor will practically stop heating, but the capacitor will heat up. Check the capacitors in the transistor circuit. Install the heatsink on the heat sink.

LG 795FT

Fault: Periodic (floating) loss of sharpness (period 1..2 sec.). At a resolution of 640x480, there is a slight jitter in the image.

Remedy: Check the board for leaks and microcracks. Check video card mounting. Possibly a voltage problem.

A floating city will be built in the Pacific Ocean 30.01.2017

In early 2017, the authorities of French Polynesia signed a memorandum of understanding with the American Seasteading Institute, which plans to build the world's first floating city in the country's controlled part of the Pacific Ocean.

The competition for the best architectural project of the floating city was held in the spring of 2015. The first place in it was taken by "Artisanopolis" (Artisanopolis), developed by the Roark 3D group. Now that a platform for the implementation of a unique project has been found, the institute's experts will have to find out how the emergence of floating communities will affect the economy and ecology of the region. In addition, they plan to develop a special management scheme for such cities, which will require serious legal research. Initially, mobile communities were supposed to drift in international waters.

Aspects of managing the future city in the waters of French Polynesia are to be discussed with the authorities of the region and France, which controls the territory. Creating a community on a platform in the open ocean, away from the coast of French Polynesia, is possible, but not economically viable.

The main advantage of floating cities, according to the scientist, is that their inhabitants will be united by a common voluntary choice: “They will form communities guided by their own interests, instead of living side by side simply because they were born in the same place and because of belonging to one or another nationality.

The agreement between the Seasteading Institute and the government of French Polynesia will be finalized and is expected to turn into a full-fledged bill by the end of the year. If adopted in 2018, the creation of the world's first floating community will begin as early as 2019.
