New method for creating powerful batteries 08.05.2024

With the development of technology and the expanding use of electronics, the issue of creating efficient and safe energy sources is becoming increasingly urgent. Researchers at the University of Queensland have unveiled a new approach to creating high-power zinc-based batteries that could change the landscape of the energy industry. One of the main problems with traditional water-based rechargeable batteries was their low voltage, which limited their use in modern devices. But thanks to a new method developed by scientists, this drawback has been successfully overcome. As part of their research, scientists turned to a special organic compound - catechol. It turned out to be an important component that can improve battery stability and increase its efficiency. This approach has led to a significant increase in the voltage of zinc-ion batteries, making them more competitive. According to scientists, such batteries have several advantages. They have b ... >>

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

DRE120 and DRE240 are compact, efficient DIN rail power supplies 05.05.2016

Chinfa has developed compact and efficient 120W and 240W DIN rail power supplies. The new series of power supplies DRE120 and DRE240 have increased efficiency (efficiency up to 93%), high peak overload capacity (up to 150%), active power correction circuit (l>0.95) and the possibility of parallel operation to increase current (parallel operation is selected by a switch) .

The power supplies are operable in the industrial temperature range from -40°С to +71°С. Products are available for two output voltages 12 and 24 V, and in models with a voltage of 24 V there is an additional relay for remote control ("dry" contact). The DRE120 and DRE240 have a set of protective measures against short circuit, overload, overvoltage and overheating, and in terms of electromagnetic compatibility, they comply with the requirements of EN55022 class B (CISPR22-B).

Given the high overload capacity, it is possible to implement selective low voltage protection in the system. New series of power supplies are designed for industrial automation systems, as well as other systems operating in a wide temperature range, where there are requirements for the efficiency and quality of the supply voltage.

Main technical parameters of DRE120 and DRE240 series:

Output power 120 and 240 W
Output voltage 12 and 24 V
Input voltage range 88-264V (AC) / 120-375V (DC)
Efficiency up to 93%
Power factor l>0,95
Overload capacity up to 150%
Ability to work in parallel mode (up to 3 pcs.)
Temperature range -40°С...+71°С
