Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons at least 18 years of age who have passed a mandatory medical examination upon entry to work, as well as an introductory briefing from a labor protection engineer, and then an initial briefing at the workplace, are allowed to work as a secretary-typist, and also:

internship;
re-instruction;
perform only the work that is the responsibility of the secretary-typist;
use safe working methods.

1.2. The secretary-typist must know:

the effect on a person of electric current;
industrial hygiene and safety requirements;
rules of internal labor regulations;
instructions for maintenance of a typewriter or computer.

The secretary-typist is obliged to follow the rules of personal hygiene and the rules of wearing special clothing

1.3. When on the railway, the secretary-typist must comply with the following requirements:

railroad tracks to pass only in designated places;
cross paths only at right angles;
cross the track occupied by the train only using the transition platforms of the cars;
bypass groups of wagons no closer than 5 m from the automatic coupler;
when leaving the wagon, hold on to the handrails and position yourself facing the wagon;
pay attention to traffic lights;
do not cross the path in front of the moving train;
do not crawl under the wagons;
Do not step on broken electrical wires.

1.4. The secretary-typist must be guided in her work by her job description, this instruction, the instructions on the sanitary regime and the manufacturer’s instructions for the typewriter or computer, and must be able to provide first aid to victims of industrial accidents.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. The secretary-typist is obliged to prepare her workplace for safe work, bring it into proper sanitary condition, and subject it to wet cleaning.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Before connecting a typewriter or computer to the mains, you must check the grounding of the case.

3.4. It should be remembered that when working on a computer, the following dangerous factors may appear:

increased levels of electromagnetic radiation;

a large amount of information.

3.5. It is forbidden to carry out repairs with the machine connected to the power supply.

3.6. While working both on a typewriter and on a computer, the possibility of simultaneous contact with the equipment and parts of the room or equipment that are connected to the ground (battery radiators, metal structures) should be excluded.

3.7. Persons who are not familiar with the rules of working on this equipment should not be allowed to work on a typewriter, computer.

3.8. It is forbidden to work on an electric typewriter if there is voltage on the body of the device.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In the event of a fire, the secretary-typist acts in accordance with fire safety instructions, first of all evacuating people.

4.2. When the machine stops for an unknown reason, as well as in case of sudden stoppage, it must be disconnected from the network and a specialist should be called.

4.3. If the electrical wire of the computer catches fire, immediately disconnect it from the network, inform the chief and the fire brigade.

4.4. In cases of other emergencies, the secretary-typist must take measures to evacuate people and property in accordance with the evacuation plan.

5. Safety requirements upon completion of work

5.1. The secretary-typist must turn off the typewriter or computer and hand over material assets.

5.2. At the end of the work must comply with all the requirements of the sanitary regime.

5.3. If operating deficiencies or equipment malfunctions are identified during work, the secretary-typist must notify the supervisor.
