Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. To work as an upholsterer, persons who have undergone industrial training in the profession, knowledge testing in the qualification commission and safety briefing are allowed.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Install the product on a special table, ensuring reliable fastening and the necessary passages.

3.2. Do not allow unauthorized persons not related to work to work without the permission of the master.

3.3. Avoid burrs, nicks on the percussion instrument.

3.4. The workplace at the slipway must be kept clean, there should be no chips, waste of the workpiece, scraps of material on the floor.

3.5. Cutting the material is carried out on a special table, observing safety measures when working with a cutting tool.

3.6. The working surface of the table must be smooth.

3.7. When using a hand saw, use a firm support. If it is necessary to saw the workpiece at an angle, a template specially designed for this purpose should be used.

3.8. The preparation of wood glue, the dilution of paints, varnishes and antiseptic compounds should be carried out in a room equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation with a 5-8-fold air exchange, while the use of open fire is prohibited. Joiner's glue should be boiled in a special glue pot with a double bottom and walls, the gap between which is filled with water.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. If any malfunctions of technological equipment are detected, it is necessary to suspend work and take measures to eliminate them.

4.2. In the event of an accident, the upholsterer must:

provide first aid to the victim;
himself or through other workers to call an ambulance;
report the incident to the supervisor.

5. Safety requirements upon completion of work

5.1. Remove the product from the table and place on the spacers.

5.2. Tidy up the workplace, remove tools and fixtures, remove foreign objects and materials from the aisles.

5.3. Report all problems to the master.
