Full Document Occupational Safety and Health / Standard instructions for labor protection Safe Operation 1. General requirements for labor protection 1.1. General safety requirements are set out in the Instruction "General safety requirements for professions and types of work in furniture production". 1.2. Dangerous and harmful production factors: moving mechanisms and machines, moving products, blanks, materials; increased noise level in the workplace. Sources of factors: rotating cutter, cutter head; rotating moving parts of the machine; poor-quality manufacturing of the cutting tool and insufficient fastening of the cutting tool or the material being processed; milling operation. Effect of factors: the possibility of contact with the cutting tool, the possibility of contact with moving and rotating parts of the equipment, the possibility of overhang of the cutter, knives, overhang of hard alloy plates; the possibility of a part flying out of the collage; negative impact of noise on the hearing organs. 1.3. Personal protective equipment: cotton suit, goggles; hearing protection. 2. Safety requirements before starting work 2.1. Make an external inspection of the machine, make sure that the spindle turns well, there is no play. Check the belt drive. Make sure that the belt is free of tears, oil and other contaminants. Check the operation of the caliper lift mechanism. 2.2. Check the sharpness of the sharpening of the cutting tool, make sure that there are no cracks, notches. 2.3. Check the strength of fastening of knives, cutters, cutter heads. 2.4. Check the serviceability of electrical equipment and grounding devices. 2.5. Make sure the braking device is working. 2.6. On the milling machine: check the reliability of fixing the guide ruler, the presence of serviceable devices that ensure the clamping of the workpieces to the table and the ruler (springs, combs). Check the presence and serviceability of the cutter guard. 2.7. On a milling carousel: check the presence and serviceability of the template and the reliability of its fastening on the machine table; check the serviceability of pneumatic clamps; compressed air hoses; check the correct installation of the thrust ring. 3. Safety requirements during work 3.1. Processing of parts should be carried out only in the direction of the wood layer. 3.2. Do not wear gloves. 3.3. Do not process wood with large cracks, rot. 3.4. It is not allowed to fix the guide line with clamps. 3.5. For milling machine:
4. Safety requirements in emergency situations 4.1. Turn off equipment. 4.2. Post a table about the malfunction of the machine or equipment and report this to the direct management. 4.3. In the event of a fire or extinguishing a flame, use a nearby fire extinguisher. 4.4. The victim or bystander must notify the appropriate work manager of each accident or poisoning. 4.5 The employee must be able to provide first aid. Such assistance is provided immediately, directly at the scene and in the following sequence: first you need to eliminate the energy source of injury (switch off the engine, stop the mechanism, remove the victim from under the car, heavy object, etc.). Assistance should begin with the most significant that threatens life or health (in case of severe bleeding, apply a tourniquet, and then bandage the wound; if a closed fracture is suspected, apply a splint; for open fractures, first bandage the wound and then apply a splint; for burns, apply a dry bandage ; in case of frostbite, gently rub the affected area using soft or fluffy tissues). If spinal injury is suspected, transport the victim only in the supine position on a rigid base. 4.6. After providing first aid, the victim should be sent to the nearest medical facility. 5. Safety requirements at the end of work 5.1. Turn off equipment. Wait for it to come to a complete stop. Tidy up the workplace: remove tools, fixtures; clean the machine from dirt and dust; wipe and lubricate the rubbing parts of the machine; neatly fold the finished parts and the remaining material. 5.2. Cleaning of wood waste (sawdust, shavings, dust) from the surface of the equipment, as well as from overalls, is carried out with a brush, sweep or using vacuum cleaners. It is unacceptable to blow the machine and clothes with compressed air. 5.3.
