General requirements for labor protection 1.1. This instruction establishes the requirements for labor protection when working with a drilling tool. 1.2. To work with a drilling tool, employees are allowed who have passed a medical examination, industrial training, passed the exam of the qualification commission and received a certificate for the right to perform these works, as well as those who have undergone an introductory briefing on labor protection upon employment and initial briefing at the workplace, as well as repeated and, if necessary, unscheduled and targeted safety briefings. 1.3. Employees admitted to work must comply with the internal regulations established by the organization. 1.4. When working with a drilling tool, you should observe the regime of work and rest. Rest and smoke is allowed in specially equipped places. 1.5. The drilling tool must be assigned to workers for individual or team use, placed in special tool cabinets, tables located next to the equipment or inside it, if it seems convenient, safe and provided for by the design. 1.6. Workers need to perform only the work assigned by the work manager. It is not allowed to entrust your work to other employees and allow unauthorized persons to enter the workplace. 1.7. An employee may be affected by dangerous and harmful production factors: noise, vibration, unfavorable parameters of the production microclimate, electric current, gas pollution and dustiness. 1.8. Overalls, footwear and other personal protective equipment are issued to employees in accordance with applicable standards and in accordance with the work performed. 1.9. Overalls, special footwear and other personal protective equipment should be stored in specially designated places in compliance with the storage rules and used in good condition. 1.10. Workers performing work with drilling tools must comply with fire safety rules, know fire warning signals, the location of fire extinguishing equipment and be able to use them. It is not allowed to use fire-fighting equipment for household purposes, blocking passages and access to fire-fighting equipment. 1.11. In the event of an accident, the victim should stop work, notify the work manager and seek medical attention. 1.12. Workers performing work with drilling tools need to know and follow the rules of personal hygiene. 1.13. If any questions arise during the work related to its safe performance, you should contact the employee responsible for the safe performance of work. 1.14. Employees who violate the requirements of this instruction are liable in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation. 2. Labor protection requirements before starting work 2.1. Before starting work, work clothes should be put in order: fasten the cuffs of the sleeves, tuck in the clothes so that there are no fluttering ends, put the hair under a tight-fitting headdress. 2.2. Inspect the workplace, remove objects that interfere with work and clear the aisles. Organize your workspace so that everything you need is at hand. 2.3. Check grounding devices, tool holders for cracks, breaks, fastening strength of hard alloy plates, chip breaking thresholds, etc. 2.8. Do not cool the cutting tool with wet rags or brushes. 2.9. Do not splash oil and liquid on the floor. Install shields to protect against splashes. 3. Labor protection requirements during work 3.1. Use only serviceable tools and devices and use them strictly for their intended purpose. 3.2. During operation, do not lean close to the cutting tool. 3.3. Install the workpiece correctly and securely in order to exclude the possibility of breaking its fastening or other violations of the technological process during drilling. 3.4. Drilling, countersinking and reaming tools must be precisely centered in the machine along the spindle axis and tightly installed in the chuck. 3.5. Drills should only be used with the correct sharpening. 3.6. The installation of the tool should be carried out at a complete stop of the machine. 3.7. Tool change should be done with the spindle lowered. It is allowed to change the tool on the move of the machine only if there is a special quick-change chuck. 3.8. When installing a drill or reamer with a taper shank into the spindle, be careful not to cut your hands on the cutting edge of the tool. Do not use a tool with a worn taper shank. 3.9. When turning the product on the table along with the drill, it is not allowed to hold it with your hand, but you should stop the rotation of the tool, make the necessary correction or take the appropriate device. 3.10. In case of jamming of the tool, breakage of the drill shank, tap or other tool, turn off the machine. 3.11. When loosening the fastening of the drill chuck and the workpiece, stop the rotation of the tool. 3.12. When drilling deep holes, periodically withdraw the drill from the hole to remove chips. Remove chips from the workpiece and the table to be drilled only after the tool has stopped. Do not remove chips directly with your hands and tools, use special hooks and sweeping brushes for this. 3.13. When manually feeding the drill and when drilling with a pass or with light drills, it is not allowed to press hard on the cutting tool. 3.14. Before stopping the rotation of the tool, move the tool away from the workpiece. 3.15. If vibration occurs, stop the rotation of the tool.
