Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Workers at least 18 years of age who have undergone appropriate training and have professional skills to work as a operator of a rolling unit in the production of wallpaper (hereinafter referred to as the operator) must undergo:

  • mandatory preliminary (when applying for a job) and periodic (during employment) medical examinations (examinations) for recognition of fitness for work in the manner established by the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia;
  • training in safe methods and techniques for performing work, briefing on labor protection, internships at the workplace and testing knowledge of labor protection.

1.2. The main dangerous and harmful production factors for the operator when servicing equipment are:

  • transported blanks and materials;
  • increased dustiness of the air;
  • increased noise level;
  • insufficient illumination of the workplace.

1.3. To protect against possible adverse factors, drivers are required to use cotton overalls provided free of charge by the employer.

1.4. While on the territory of the enterprise, in production and service premises, work areas and workplaces, drivers are obliged to comply with the internal labor regulations adopted in this organization.

Admission of unauthorized persons, as well as employees in a state of intoxication to these places is prohibited.

1.5. In the course of daily activities, drivers must:

  • maintain order in workplaces, clear them of debris, scraps of paper, dust;
  • be careful and avoid violations of safety requirements.

1.6. Drivers are required to immediately notify their immediate or superior supervisor of any situation that threatens the life and health of people, every accident that occurs at work, or a deterioration in their health.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Before starting work, the driver must:

  • present to the manager a certificate of verification of safe methods and techniques of work and undergo training at the workplace, taking into account the specifics of the work;
  • receive a task from the work manager;
  • put on the standard uniform.

2.2. After receiving the task from the head, the driver must:

  • read the entries in the work log;
  • accept a workplace from the driver of the previous shift;
  • check the workplace and approaches to it for compliance with safety requirements;
  • check the guards and safety devices installed on the rolling unit;
  • check the serviceability of serviced equipment and lifting mechanisms;
  • check the availability and serviceability of tools, auxiliary devices and instrumentation;
  • check the lubrication system of the rolling unit;
  • prepare rolls of wallpaper for rolling out for work;
  • evaluate the illumination of the workplace.

2.3. The driver must not begin work if the following safety requirements are violated:

  • malfunctions of equipment, fences, tools, instrumentation, specified in the manufacturer’s instructions, under which their operation is not permitted;
  • insufficient illumination of the workplace.

2.4. Detected violations of safety requirements must be eliminated on their own before starting work, and if this is not possible, the driver is obliged to report them to the work manager.

2.5. In the event of a malfunction in the electrical part, it is necessary to inform the electrician on duty.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Rolled wallpaper should be threaded through the paper-conducting rollers with the machine stopped and the roller raised.

3.2. Care must be taken when threading rolls and guiding the wallpaper sheet under the knife and winding rollers.

3.3. It is not allowed to work on the rolling unit unless there is a protective device under the swinging upper knife.

3.4. It is not allowed to clean the knife and shafts or thread the blade while the unit is on.

3.5. It is necessary to make sure that the locking bar of the upper pressure roller is in working order and that the limit switch is activated when the cross knife cover is open. Only after these operations is it allowed to put the rolling unit into operation.

3.6. It is necessary to monitor the compressed air pressure gauge on the pneumatic brake of the rolling device.

3.7. It is not allowed to clean and lubricate the unit at operating speed.

3.8. It is not allowed to remove waste from the knife area of ​​the rolling unit by hand.

3.9. It is not allowed to leave the working rolling unit unattended.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In the event of a sudden power outage, turn off the equipment.

4.2. If a fire occurs in the workshop, take emergency measures to extinguish the fire using primary fire extinguishing means, immediately turn off the ventilation, telephone the fire department and call the work manager or other official to the scene.

4.3. If an accident occurs that causes an accident or equipment breakdown, then immediately stop the equipment, provide assistance to the victim and notify the work manager or other official.

4.4. If any extraneous noise, jerking, shock or vibration occurs in operating equipment, you must immediately stop the equipment and display a poster “Do not turn on - people are working!” and inform the work manager.

4.5. It is not allowed to start working on the equipment until the faults are completely eliminated.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Tidy up the workplace, inspect the equipment.

5.2. Before starting a shift, notify the shift worker and the work manager about any problems that occurred during the shift, having previously made entries in the work log.

5.3. It is not allowed to leave the workplace without handing over the shift to the shift.

5.4. The work manager should be informed about leaving the workshop.

5.5. Having finished work, take off your overalls, put them in an individual closet, and comply with the requirements of personal hygiene rules.
