Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons at least 18 years of age who have been instructed in labor protection, a medical examination and have no contraindications for health reasons are allowed to fire stoves.

1.2. Employees must comply with the internal labor regulations, established work and rest regimes.

1.3. When burning furnaces, the following dangerous and harmful production factors may affect the workers:

  • the occurrence of a fire when the furnaces are left unattended;
  • burns when kindling fuel in stoves with gasoline, kerosene and other flammable liquids, as well as when the firebox door is suddenly opened and looked into it;
  • carbon monoxide poisoning due to premature closing of the chimney damper.

1.4. Employees are required to comply with fire safety rules, know the location of primary fire extinguishing equipment.

1.5. In the event of an accident, the victim or eyewitness of the accident is obliged to inform the administration of the institution. In the event of a malfunction in the operation of the stove, extinguish the fire in the furnace and inform the administration of the institution.

1.6. In the process of work, observe the rules for firing furnaces, the rules of personal hygiene, and keep the workplace clean.

1.7. Persons who have failed to comply with or violate the instructions on labor protection are subject to disciplinary liability in accordance with the internal labor regulations and, if necessary, are subjected to an extraordinary examination of knowledge of the norms and rules of labor protection.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Check whether the furnace openings on the wooden floor have pre-furnace metal sheets measuring 50x70 cm.

2.2. Open flue dampers and check for draft.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Do not ignite fuel in furnaces with gasoline, kerosene and other flammable liquids.

3.2. To avoid fire, do not leave the ovens in operation unattended.

3.3. Furnace furnaces must be completed no later than 1 hour before the children arrive at the institution.

3.4. Furnace chimneys and chimneys must be cleaned of soot at least once every three months during the heating season.

3.5. It is forbidden to heat stoves during cultural events in the institution.

3.6. Do not entrust the supervision of heating stoves to children and unauthorized persons.

3.7. It is not allowed to fire stoves with faulty and open firebox doors, as well as to use firewood for firewood that exceeds the depth of the firebox in length.

3.8. It is forbidden to dry clothes, shoes, firewood and other combustible materials on burning stoves.

3.9. To prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, close the chimney dampers only after the firewood has completely burned out.

3.10. It is not allowed to place fuel, other combustible substances and materials on the pre-furnace sheet.

3.11. It is forbidden to heat coal, coke and gas stoves that are not designed for these types of fuel.

3.12. Make sure that the ovens are not overheated.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In the event of a fire, immediately report the fire to the nearest fire department, the administration of the institution and proceed to extinguish the fire using primary fire extinguishing equipment.

4.2. In case of injury, immediately provide first aid to the victim, inform the administration of the institution, if necessary, send the victim to the nearest medical institution.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Make sure that the fuel, coals in the furnace of the furnace are completely burned out and close the chimney dampers.

5.2. Before shoveling ash and coals from the furnace furnace, fill them with water, remove the ash and coals from the furnace into a metal box with a lid on legs and take it to a specially designated place. Do not throw away ashes and coals near buildings and fences.
