General safety requirements 1.1. A person who is at least 18 years old, who has passed a medical examination, who has undergone theoretical and practical training in labor protection, safety, fire safety, who has been trained to operate this equipment, and who has also studied these instructions, may be allowed to work on compressor units. 1.2. It is strictly forbidden to work on faulty equipment and faulty tools. 1.3. Use the tool only for its intended purpose. 1.4. Comply with internal regulations. 1.5. If you are injured at work, immediately go to the medical center and notify the enterprise administration. 1.6. To avoid accidents, be extremely careful and strictly follow the requirements of these instructions. 1.7.3a violation of the requirements of this instruction, fire safety and industrial sanitation, the worker is liable in accordance with current legislation. 2. Safety requirements before starting work 2.1 Put your overalls in order, button and tie up your sleeve cuffs, and tuck your hair under your headdress. It is prohibited to work in light shoes (slippers, sandals). 2.2. Inspect the workplace, free it from foreign objects. 2.3. Check the serviceability of the tools, accessories, and the presence of safety glasses. 2.4. Defects discovered during the inspection should be immediately eliminated, unusable instruments replaced with suitable ones or repaired. 3. Safety requirements during work 3.1. The compressor room must be kept clean and not cluttered with foreign objects. 3.2. The knowledge of those working on the compressor unit must be retested every 12 months of work. 3.3. The air collector of the compressor unit is subject to inspection every 2 years, and a hydraulic test every 8 years with a preliminary inspection. 3.4. The following requirements apply to compressor unit pressure gauges: a) must be in good order and sealed; b) the scales must be marked with red paint for the highest permissible pressure; c) inspection of pressure gauges with sealing or branding must be carried out at least once a year. 3.5. The pressure gauge is considered faulty: a) if the arrow does not return to "zero" when the pressure gauge is off; b) if the device does not have a seal or stamp; c) if the verification period is missed; d) if the glass is broken or there are other damages. 3.6. A safety valve is installed on the compressor unit in order to prevent the possibility of an increase in air pressure above the set value due to different reductions in air consumption by consumers, as well as when hoses are clogged, etc. other malfunctions. 3.7. The compressor plant must be stopped immediately: a) if the air pressure in the air receiver rises above the allowable one. b) if the safety valves or pressure gauge are faulty; c) if the temperature of the compressed air rises above the permissible level; d) if strange suspicious sounds appear in the engine and compressor. 3.8. The compressor unit should be installed in a shaded area with the least amount of dust and as close to consumers as possible. 3.9. The installation must be protected by a specially installed protective fence. 3.10. Do not install compressors near sources of flammable gases. 3.11. The compressor unit must be properly grounded. 4. Safety requirements in emergency situations 4.1. In all emergency situations, immediately stop work, take immediate measures to eliminate them and notify the enterprise administration 4.2. In the event of an accident, provide first aid to the victim, call an ambulance or send the victim to a medical facility, inform the administration 4.3. If a fire occurs, immediately stop work, take measures to extinguish the fire with primary fire extinguishing means, call the fire brigade and report the incident to the enterprise administration. 5. Safety requirements upon completion of work 5.1. Turn off equipment. 5.2. Remove tools and accessories, wipe them thoroughly. 5.3. Put the workplace in exemplary order. Put the overalls in the closet. 5.4. Report any malfunctions noticed in the process of work to the master. 5.5. Wash hands and face thoroughly with soap and take a shower.
