Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons at least 18 years of age who have passed a medical examination, introductory instruction on labor protection, briefing at the workplace, and also who have undergone special training in servicing the UFN unit are allowed to service the UFN unit.

1.2. All work related to the use of liquid enzyme components must be carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of SanPiN No. 11-09-94 "Sanitary rules for the organization of technological and hygienic processes and hygienic requirements for production equipment."

1.3. Personnel who have studied the device and PTE of electrical installations with voltage up to 1000 V are allowed to repair the installation.

1.4. The installation must be grounded in accordance with the rules for grounding industrial electrical installations with voltages up to 1000 V.

1.5. The employee servicing the UFN unit is obliged to:

  • know and comply with the internal labor regulations of the enterprise;
  • know the requirements of fire safety, the procedure for actions in case of fire, be able to use primary fire extinguishing means;
  • comply with the technical conditions for the operation of UFN;
  • know and follow the rules of personal hygiene;
  • know how to provide first aid in case of accidents at work;
  • follow these instructions.

1.6. When working with liquid enzyme components, an employee must use personal protective equipment (PPE):

  • cotton suit or bathrobe;
  • cotton headdress;
  • goggles closed type;
  • gloves;
  • respirator;
  • rubber apron.

1.7. When servicing the UFN unit, the worker may be exposed to dangerous and harmful production factors:

  • moving parts of the drive;
  • increased voltage in the electrical circuit, the closure of which can occur through the human body;
  • elevated temperature of equipment surfaces;
  • the effect of liquid enzyme components on the skin and mucous membranes.

1.8. The employee is obliged to inform the shift foreman or shop manager about each accident, keeping, if possible, the situation at the workplace and the condition of the equipment as it was at the time of the accident, if this does not endanger the health and life of others and does not lead to an accident.

1.9. The employee is responsible for violation of the requirements of this instruction in accordance with the procedure established by the Internal Labor Regulations of the plant and the current legislation.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

3.1. Before starting work, it is necessary to put on overalls and PPE.

3.2. Check and make sure:

  • serviceability of all parts of the UFN installation;
  • the absence of foreign objects in the workplace;
  • the presence of grounding;
  • serviceability of electrical wiring;
  • availability and serviceability of protective fences;
  • serviceability of the valves on the product pipeline (the drain valve must be closed, and the remaining valves are open).

3. Safety requirements when performing work.

3.1. When the UFN unit is operating, it is necessary to turn on the exhaust ventilation.

3.2. The employee is prohibited from:

  • start operating the UFN unit before thoroughly familiarizing yourself with the passport, as well as before learning the relevant rules and regulations;
  • leave the UFN unit in working condition unattended;
  • allow impact loads on the control panel of the installation and the ingress of steam or hot water onto it;
  • open the lid of the mixer when the unit is in operation;
  • allow a load on the weighing device with a force exceeding that specified in the technical specifications by more than 10%;
  • to repair the installation under voltage;
  • operate the hydrophore with a faulty pressure gauge, as well as after the expiration of its check;
  • operate the unit with a faulty MP-400 flow meter;
  • operate the unit without protective grounding;
  • operate the unit without protecting the mechanisms on the drives.

3.3. Sampling (sprayed mixed fodder) must be carried out with a scoop from a gravity hatch after UFN.

3.4. Sampling (liquid enzyme component) when checking the operation of the MP-400 flowmeter should be carried out in a sealed container, excluding the ingress of vapors and liquids of the product into the working room.

3.5. During the maintenance of the equipment, the possibility of contact of workers with the product (inhalation of vapors, ingress of solutions on the skin) should be excluded.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In an emergency, it is necessary to de-energize the UFN unit and take corrective measures.

4.2. If during operation liquid components get on the skin or floor, it is necessary to immediately rinse with water.

4.3. In the event of a fire or explosion, the employee must:

  • by pressing the emergency stop button of the equipment, disconnect the unit from the electrical network;
  • by pressing the button of the manual fire detector (IPR) to report an accident;
  • inform the fire department of the enterprise by phone _______, shift foreman or shop manager;
  • start extinguishing the fire with the available fire extinguishing means;
  • in the event of a fire in electrical wiring, equipment, immediately turn off the power supply and take measures to extinguish the fire using the available primary fire extinguishing equipment, report the incident to the immediate supervisor. The use of water and foam fire extinguishers for live electrical equipment is unacceptable. Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers are used for this purpose;
  • in the event of a threat to life, leave the premises.

4.4. In the event of an accident at work, it is necessary:

  • quickly take measures to prevent the impact on the victim of traumatic factors, provide the victim with first aid, call the medical staff of the medical center to the scene of the incident by calling _______ or deliver the victim to a medical institution;
  • Report the incident to your immediate supervisor.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Close the valve and stop the supply of compound feed to the installation.

5.2. Make sure that the supply of liquid components to the unit is stopped.

5.3. Remove workplace.

5.4. Take a hygienic shower before changing into personal clothes. Put overalls and PPE in the cloakroom.

5.5. It is not allowed to be on the territory of the enterprise after the end of the shift without the knowledge of the shift foreman or the head of the workshop.

Smallest mobile life form created 10.12.2022

He was also able to swim using the "change the direction of the helix" technique, just like the original bacterium.

"Our floating syn3 can be called the 'smallest mobile life form' capable of moving on its own," said Professor Makoto Miyata, co-author of the study. "The results of the study will help us better understand the evolution and origin of cell motility."

The study of the smallest bacterium in the world with the smallest functional motor apparatus will be useful for developing the movement of microrobots that mimic the work of cells or motors based on proteins.
