Safe Operation

1. General requirements for labor protection

1.1. Persons are allowed to work on laying asphalt concrete after passing the introductory briefing and briefing at the workplace.

1.2. The worker must comply with:

rules of internal labor regulations;

2. Labor protection requirements before starting work

3. Labor protection requirements during work

3.2. It is possible to unload the asphalt concrete mixture only after prior warning of the workers involved in its laying.

3.3. Unloading the asphalt mix from the dump truck into the receiving hopper of the asphalt paver should be done after warning the workers to go to the safe area.

3.4. It is allowed to spread hot asphalt with shovels at a distance of no more than 6 meters. Do not transfer hot mixture.

3.5. To deliver hot asphalt to the place of laying, located at a distance of more than 3 sides (side height of at least 8 cm) or on wheelbarrows. Unload wheelbarrows by tipping them forward.

3.6. It is forbidden to work while being on hot asphalt mix during its laying.

3.7. Pneumatic tools must be adjusted so that the valves open and close easily and do not let air through.

3.8. Do not correct the pneumatic tool during operation.

3.9. When carrying a pneumatic tool, hold it only by the handle or body.

3.10. Connect and disconnect hoses only when the air supply is turned off.

3.11. If an electrical cable, pipeline and other unknown objects are found, stop work and inform the master.

3.12. When performing work with the help of trailed machines, it is forbidden to stay between the transport and the trailed machine during movement, as well as to cross the towing torso or traction.

3.13. When developing manually, leveling should not be worked too close together.

3.14. Unloading curbstones manually is prohibited. For this purpose, it is necessary to use various crane installations equipped with special gripping devices.

It is allowed to carry curbstones only simultaneously by 4 workers with the help of 2 pairs of tongs. It is forbidden to move curbstones by dragging, hooks. Settling of curbstones with a rammer is allowed only through a wooden spacer.

4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations

4.1. Work must be suspended:

during thunderstorms, rain, as well as fog and snowfall, excluding visibility within the front of work;
in case of malfunction of the asphalt paver;
in case of bitumen leakage from the asphalt distributor;
in case of overturning or damage by vehicles of road signs;
in case of a traffic accident associated with the arrival of vehicles at the place of work.

5. Labor protection requirements at the end of work

5.1. Collect and clean the instrument.

5.2. Check the condition of clothing, tools and accessories.

5.3. At the direction of the master, remove the fences and warning signs.

5.4. Report any shortcomings in the work to the master.
