Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. To work as a cleaner of the territory, workers who have passed:

introductory safety briefing;
fire safety briefing;
initial training at the workplace.

1.2. The area cleaner must:

undergo repeated safety briefings at the workplace;
undergo unscheduled and targeted briefings;
perform only the work assigned by management.

1.3. The landlord must know:

the impact on a person of dangerous and harmful factors;
industrial hygiene requirements;
rules of internal labor regulations;
regulation on the discipline of railway workers.

1.4. The area cleaner must use the following PPE:

cotton suit;
combined gloves;
cotton apron;
waterproof raincoat;
jacket with insulating lining;
felt boots with galoshes.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. The territory cleaner should only perform the work assigned by the administration.

2.2. Wear the prescribed clothing.

2.3. Inspect your assigned territory, if open well hatches are found, call the duty service to close the well covers.

2.4. Check the serviceability of tools and equipment (shovels, scrapers, stretchers, brooms).

2.5. Shovels and brooms must be firmly mounted on the handle and firmly fixed.

3. Safety requirements during work

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In case of an accident, provide first aid (contact a first-aid post or call an ambulance).

4.2. Report the incident to your manager.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Put inventory in order, report all comments to your supervisor.

Resurrection of mammoths 21.02.2017

Resurrecting an extinct animal is not easy. The mammoth is an ideal candidate to be the first species to be resurrected, as many intact mammoth specimens survive, and the creatures' closest relatives, elephants, are walking the Earth right now. Harvard scientists want to implant the created genome inside the embryo of elephants, which, according to them, can be done within the next two years. Once that's done, they'll place the embryo in an artificial womb. True, the technology is not enough yet, so it will be a few more years before we see a real woolly mammoth, or even an entire park of mammoths.
