According to the Fire Safety Rules, all employees of organizations should be allowed to work only after passing fire safety briefing, and if the specifics of work change, they should undergo additional training on preventing and extinguishing possible fires in the manner established by the head of the organization.

To study the rules of fire safety, all employees of educational institutions must pass fire drill: introductory, primary and secondary.

During the introductory briefing Trainees should be familiar with the following topics:

  • general fire safety measures;
  • possible causes of fires and measures to prevent them;
  • practical steps in the event of a fire.

Introductory briefing can be carried out simultaneously с instructing on labor protection (safety). An entry is made in the introductory briefing registration log with the obligatory signatures of the instructing and the instructed about the conduct of the introductory fire safety briefing and verification of knowledge.

Initial briefing carried out directly at the workplace. In this case, the instructors must be familiar with:

  • with an evacuation plan and procedures in the event of a fire;
  • with samples of all primary fire extinguishing equipment available in the educational institution, warning people about a fire, as well as with safety signs, fire alarms and communications.

Re-instruction all employees must pass at least once every six months.

An entry is made about the conduct of primary and repeated briefings in the register of briefings on labor protection (safety).

Conducting fire safety briefing must be accompanied by a practical demonstration of how to use the available fire extinguishing equipment.
