First aid for the victim - this is a complex of the simplest actions (justified by medicine) performed directly at the scene, as soon as possible after an injury (damage). It must be provided immediately and often depends on the outcome of the injury. World practice shows that the first aid provided in time (up to a maximum of 30 minutes after the injury) to the victim significantly reduces the severity of the consequences, especially death.

All first aid goals saving the lives of victims, preventing possible complications, for example, blood loss, preparing for evacuation, the fastest evacuation for medical assistance.

In view of the urgency of such assistance, it would be a crime to passively wait for the arrival of a doctor, and this assistance should be provided by those people, as a rule, not doctors, who were near the scene at the time of the accident. Therefore, first aid is often called "first aid". This help is not provided by doctors, but according to the rules of medicine, and therefore it is often called "first aid", and everyone should master its techniques!

The ability of each employee to provide first aid is provided for by the requirements of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, other federal laws, GOST 12.0.004-90 "Organization of labor safety training. General provisions." This topic is included in the list of basic introductory briefing questions.

Clause 2.2.4. "Procedure for training in labor protection and testing knowledge of labor protection requirements of employees of organizations", approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation dated January 13, 2003 No. 1/29 states: "The employer (or a person authorized by him) organizes a periodic, at least one once a year, training workers of working professions in first aid to victims. Newly hired people are trained in first aid to victims within the time limits established by the employer (or a person authorized by him), but no later than one month after being hired.

Special guidelines can serve as a significant help in studying the issues of first medical aid and resuscitation.
