I. General Provisions

The control master belongs to the category of managers.
A person with a higher professional (technical) education and work experience in production for at least 1 year or a secondary vocational (technical) education and work experience in production for at least 3 years is appointed to the position of a supervisory foreman.
Appointment to the position of the control foreman and dismissal from it is carried out by order of the director of the enterprise.
The supervisor must know:

legislative and regulatory legal acts, methodological and other materials on product quality management;
technological processes and production modes;
basic technological and design data of the manufactured products;
technical and economic requirements for raw materials, materials, semi-finished products, components and finished products;
current industry and company standards, specifications, standards for quality indicators, technological instructions;
systems, means and methods of technical control of production;
rules for acceptance and storage of finished products, raw materials, materials, semi-finished products, components, sampling methods, labeling and packaging of products;
regulations on trademarks and codes;
the procedure for attestation of the quality of industrial products;
types of manufacturing defects, methods of its prevention and elimination;
rules for testing and acceptance of products;
the procedure for issuing technical documentation certifying the quality of products (works, services);
fundamentals of economics, labor organization, production and management;
rules of internal labor regulations;
fundamentals of labor legislation;
rules and regulations of labor protection.

II. Official duties

Control Master:

Organizes, at the assigned site, work on monitoring and improving the quality of products and services, completeness for monitoring and improving the quality of products and services, completeness of manufactured products and accounting for defects.
Controls the correctness of establishing the grade of products (products, semi-finished products), its compliance with approved samples (standards), standards, specifications and other regulatory and technical documentation, compliance with technological regimes at all stages of the production process, instructions and methods for technical control at workplaces, quality of containers and packaging, technical condition of equipment and means of transport, storage of raw materials, materials, semi-finished products, components, finished products.
Supervises the work on the preparation of technical documentation certifying the quality and completeness of manufactured or supplied products (passports, certificates), certification of products by quality categories.
Monitors compliance with schedules for checking the accuracy of production equipment and tooling, the state of control and measuring equipment, their availability at workplaces, and timely submission for state inspection.
Takes measures to prevent the production of products that do not meet the established requirements, identify the causes and perpetrators of marriage, receive complaints about finished products, as well as develop and implement measures aimed at improving the quality and competitiveness of products and services.
Participates in the development and implementation of the most advanced product quality management systems, control methods (including incoming control of incoming components, materials and semi-finished products), new and revised existing standards, specifications and other regulations and instructions.
Monitors compliance by subordinates with the rules of labor protection, safety measures, produced and labor discipline, internal labor regulations.
Takes part in the delivery of finished products, performed works (services) to customers.
Makes proposals on the promotion of employees or the application of measures of material influence, as well as bringing to disciplinary responsibility violators of labor and production discipline, promotes the improvement of the qualifications and professional skills of workers, their training and assignment of categories, the introduction of best practices, conducts educational work in the team.

III. Rights

The control master has the right:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management.
Submit proposals to improve the activities of the enterprise for consideration by your immediate supervisor.
Interact with the heads of all (individual) structural divisions of the enterprise.
Sign and endorse documents within their competence.
Give subordinate employees binding instructions on issues of production activities and monitor their implementation.
Suspend the performance of work on faulty equipment, when using raw materials and materials of inadequate quality until the indicated deficiencies are eliminated.
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The control master is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.

Japanese company Oton Glass is developing smart glasses that can translate text into sound. It is expected that the device may be useful for people with visual impairment or dyslexia.

Oton Glass smart glasses are equipped with two small cameras. Half of the lens is occupied by a mirror that reflects the user's eye, so that one of the cameras can track the movements and blinking of the eyes.

In order for the glasses to read the text, the user must look at it and blink his eyes: then the device will take a photo and send it to a special cloud system that will analyze the text and then translate it into sound (then it will be transmitted to the user using an earpiece).
