I. General Provisions

Methodist psychologist belongs to the category of specialists.
A person who has a higher professional education and a teaching experience of 5 years or more, or at least 3 years of experience as a methodologist-psychologist, or I qualification category, is appointed to the position of a methodologist-psychologist.
Appointment to the position of a methodologist-psychologist and dismissal from office is carried out by order of the director of the Center.
Methodist-psychologist should know:

laws of Ukraine, resolutions and decisions of the Government of Ukraine and education authorities on education issues;
requirements of state educational standards in educational psychology;
basic techniques and methods of work in the profile of the specialty;
pedagogy, psychology, correctional pedagogy and psychology, clinical psychology;
modern approaches to the organization of psychological support to ensure the mental and psychological health of all participants in the educational process;
principles and procedure for the development of educational and program documentation, curricula, educational programs and other educational and methodological documentation;
resolutions, orders;
instructions, orders on the organization and functioning of the psychological service of the education system;
fundamentals of labor law.

II. Official duties

Methodist psychologist:

Provides assistance to teaching staff in determining the content, forms, methods and means to ensure the psychological adaptation of students and pupils of the educational institution.
Takes part in the development of methodological and informational materials, diagnostics, forecasting and planning of training, retraining and advanced training of educational psychologists.
Organizes the methodological work of regional psychological centers.
Develops proposals for organizing the effectiveness of the work of district psychological centers.
Summarizes the results of the activities of regional psychological centers.
Analyzes and coordinates the activities of district psychological centers.
Provides interaction of district psychological centers with other structures of the city psychological service.
Perceives and relays information on advanced areas of educational psychology.
Informs regional methodological offices and educational institutions about current trends in practical psychology.
Provides assistance in planning the activities of district psychological centers.
Provides consultative and practical assistance to employees of district psychological centers.
Organizes and coordinates the work of methodologists of district psychological centers.
Develops the necessary documentation on the functioning of the psychological centers of the districts.

III. Rights

Methodist-psychologist has the right:

Participate in the discussion and resolution of issues related to the activities of the Center and department, as well as departments and educational units.
Request information and documents necessary for the performance of their duties from the heads of structural divisions and other specialists.
Free use of the services of the library, computer center, information funds of educational and scientific departments of the Center.
Demand from the administration of the Center and the head of the department of organizational and logistical support of their activities, as well as assistance in the performance of their duties and rights.
Appeal against orders and orders of the administration of the Center in accordance with the procedure established by law.
Submit for consideration by the Council of the Center issues related to improving the educational process and improving the quality of training and retraining of methodologists-psychologists.

IV. A responsibility

Methodist-psychologist is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
