I. General Provisions

The methodologist of the educational department belongs to the category of specialists.
The methodologist of the educational department should know:

laws of Ukraine, resolutions and decisions of the Government of Ukraine and education authorities on education issues;
requirements of state educational standards;
basic technological processes and methods of work in the profile of the specialty;
pedagogy, physiology, psychology and methods of vocational training;
modern forms and methods of teaching and educating students;
basics of office work;
principles and procedures for developing educational program documentation, curricula, educational programs, standard lists of educational equipment and other educational and methodological documentation;
resolutions, orders, instructions, orders for educational work;
fundamentals of labor law.

As a rule, in the event of a temporary absence of a methodologist, his duties are performed by the deputy dean for academic affairs.

II. Official duties

Methodist of the educational department:

Keeps records of student movements (academic leaves, transfers, expulsions, reinstatements).
Registers incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Prepares schedules for exams and tests.
Compiles the documentation necessary for organizing sessions (lists of students, information cards of exams, lists of teachers, lists of subjects in accordance with the curriculum, etc.).
Monitors the conduct of monthly assessments of students on current performance and attendance.
Keeps a book of passing exams and tests during the examination session.
Controls the preparation of educational documentation (certification, examination and test reports (sheets)) and the filling out of group journals by teachers.
Conducts reconciliation of entries in grade books and examination and grade sheets (sheets).
Collects information for educational cards of students.
Draws up:

educational cards of students;
transfer cases of students.

Prepares draft orders of the faculty on the student population for the personnel department.
Prepares documentation on the organization of the educational process for the dean and educational department.
Certifies copies of orders and instructions for the dean's office.
Provides allocation of audiences for conducting training sessions.
Coordinates the necessary movement of students and teachers.
Coordinates the work of study group leaders and monitors the maintenance of study group journals.
Provides explanations to students and faculty members on the class schedule (its changes) and on issues of the educational process.
Monitors the implementation by the teaching staff of the approved schedules of classes, exams and tests.
Prepares reports to the head of the educational department on the teaching staff’s compliance with academic and labor discipline.

III. Rights

The methodologist of the educational department has the right:

Request information and documents necessary for the performance of their duties from the heads of structural divisions and other specialists.
Request the necessary information from the head of the study groups.
Submit for consideration by the faculty council issues related to improving the educational process and improving the quality of student training.

IV. A responsibility

The methodologist of the educational department is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
