I. General Provisions

A person who has a secondary medical education and has completed specialization in medical statistics is appointed to the position of medical statistician.
Appointed and dismissed by the chief physician of the hospital on the recommendation of the head of the medical statistics office in accordance with current legislation.
Directly reports to the statistician.
His work is guided by:

official documents on the performed section of work;
orders and orders of higher officials;
this instruction.

II. Official duties

Receives statistical information from hospital departments and combines them for the hospital as a whole.
Provides systematization and statistical processing of accounting and reporting data, calculates hospital performance indicators. Presents these indicators to the statistician, and in his absence to the head of the medical statistics office.
Instructs hospital department staff on the rules for maintaining accounting forms and compiling statistical reports.
Compiles an annual statistical report for the hospital within the established time frame and submits it to the statistician, and in his absence, to the head of the medical statistics office.
Maintains proper accounting records.
Timely submits applications to the head of the medical statistics office for the acquisition of accounting and reporting statistical forms approved by the Ministry of Health; provides them to all departments.
Monitors the correctness of medical records in hospital departments.
Systematically improves professional qualifications by studying teaching materials, instructions, etc.

III. Rights

A medical statistician has the right to:

Check the correctness of all accounting and reporting documentation in hospital departments.
Systematically improve professional qualifications in advanced training courses in the prescribed manner.
Receive the information necessary to carry out their duties.
Make proposals to the head of the office to improve the organization and working conditions.

IV. A responsibility

The medical statistician is responsible for:

for the reliability of the reports;
for unclear or untimely fulfillment of duties stipulated by this instruction and the internal labor regulations of the hospital.
