III. Official duties

Public Relations Manager:

Carries out coordination of communications and direct communication of the enterprise with the public in accordance with the overall goal of the enterprise.
Develops appropriate measures and plans for the development of enterprise relations with the public.
Carries out information programs to inform legislators, the media and the general public about the plans, achievements and principles of his enterprise.
Organizes press conferences, meetings with the public, speeches in the media of the company's leaders.
Prepares relevant press materials, statements, information, messages.
Controls media materials in order to verify the correctness of the reflection of information coming from the enterprise.
Provides contacts with the relevant departments of ministries, other executive authorities for the exchange of information materials.
Provides the media with materials about the activities of the enterprise.
Negotiates contacts with representatives of newspapers, magazines, radio, television, sports and cultural organizations.
Participates in the prepared and issuance of advertising and information publications that contribute to the expansion of international and inter-industry relations.
Provides coordination of communications and directly communicates with periodicals (newspapers, magazines).
Collaborates with the relevant press services of other enterprises.
Participates in planning the social development of the team, resolving disputes and conflicts, attracts relevant consultants and experts (legal, technical, financial) to their solution.
Makes decisions on the planning and management of various funds, the rational use of the funds provided.

IV. Rights

The Public Relations Manager has the right to:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise regarding its activities.
Participate in the discussion of issues related to the performance of his duties.
Make suggestions for improving the work related to the provisions of this instruction.
Within the limits of his competence, inform his immediate supervisor about all those identified in the course of his activities, and make proposals for their elimination.
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties.

V. Responsibility

The Public Relations Manager is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties, as well as for non-use or directly to their rights provided for by this Job Description - to the extent determined by the current legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation on labor of Ukraine.

Greenland is losing ice catastrophically 24.08.2020

The Greenland ice sheet, which is the second largest, lost a record 2019 billion tons of ice in 532. In July alone, 223 billion tons of ice melted.

For comparison, in 2003-2016, Greenland was losing 255 billion tons of ice per year. Last year, the glacier lost 15% of its ice than in 2012, when most of the shield also melted.

According to scientists, the water that melted in Greenland in 2019 could flood the entire territory of the UK by 2,5 meters.

Melting ice is linked to climate change. 2019 was the third hottest year since the 1880s, with temperatures in the Arctic also rising to record highs. Scientists believe that a constant increase in temperature, a small amount of snowfall, and cloudless skies led to a record melt. Because of this, more sunlight hit the glacier.

In 2017-2018, Greenland experienced a record amount of snow, and the summer was abnormally cold. But the temporary cooling did not save from record melting in 2019.

By the end of the century, only because of the melting of the glaciers of Greenland, the sea level will rise by 10 centimeters, but in general it is expected that by 2100 the water level will rise by a meter. This means that London, Shanghai, Hong Kong and the islands in the Pacific Ocean may be under water. 300 million people around the world could be affected.

Earlier, an international group of scientists said that since 2000, the rate of melting of the Greenland ice sheet has jumped sharply and the snow that falls does not have time to compensate for the losses. The researchers argue that this process can no longer be stopped.
