I. General Provisions

The head of the logistics department belongs to the category of managers.
Appointment to the post of head of the logistics department and dismissal from it is carried out by order of the director of the enterprise on the proposal of _______.
A person who has a higher professional (economic or engineering and economic) education and at least __ years of work experience in the field of logistics in the field of logistics is appointed to the position of head of the logistics department.
The head of the logistics department reports to _______.
In his activities, the head of the logistics department is guided by:

legislative and regulatory documents on the material and technical support of the enterprise;
methodological materials on relevant issues;
the charter of the enterprise;
labor regulations;
orders and orders of the director of the enterprise (immediate supervisor);

The head of the logistics department should know:

legislative and regulatory legal acts, methodological materials on the logistics of the enterprise;
market methods of doing business;
prospects for the development of the enterprise;
methods and procedure for long-term and current planning of material and technical support, development of standards for production stocks of raw materials, materials and other material resources, carrying out work on resource conservation;
organization of logistics and warehousing;
the procedure for concluding contracts with suppliers and monitoring their implementation, drawing up documentation for the release of materials to divisions of the enterprise;
standards and specifications for the logistics of product quality, methods and procedures for their development;
wholesale and retail prices, range of consumable materials;
fundamentals of technology, organization of production, labor and management;
organization of accounting for supply and warehouse operations and the procedure for reporting on the implementation of the logistics plan;
labor legislation of Ukraine;
computer facilities, telecommunications and communications;
rules and regulations of labor protection.

During the absence of the head of the logistics department (business trip, vacation, illness, etc.), his duties are performed in the prescribed manner by the appointed deputy, who acquires the appropriate rights and bears full responsibility for their proper execution.

II. Official duties

Management of the department of material and technical supply of the enterprise.
Organization of accounting for the movement of material resources, preparation of established reporting.
Interaction with suppliers.
Providing conditions for the mechanization and automation of transport and storage operations, the use of computer systems in the work.
Organization of work to improve the skills of employees of the department.
Ensuring healthy and safe working conditions for subordinate employees, monitoring their compliance with the requirements of legislative and regulatory legal acts on labor protection.
Organize the provision of the enterprise with all the material resources of the required quality required for its production activities and their rational use in order to reduce production costs and maximize profits.
Lead the development of projects of long-term and current plans and balance sheets for the logistics of the production program, the repair and maintenance needs of the enterprise and its divisions, as well as the creation of the necessary production stocks based on determining the need for material resources (raw materials, materials, semi-finished products, equipment, components, fuel, energy, etc.) using progressive consumption rates.
To seek sources of covering the needs of the enterprise at the expense of internal resources.
Ensure the preparation of the conclusion of contracts with suppliers, the coordination of conditions and terms of supply; study the possibility and expediency of establishing direct long-term economic relations with suppliers of material and technical resources.
Organize the study of operational marketing information and promotional materials on the offers of small wholesale stores and wholesale fairs in order to identify the possibility of acquiring material and technical resources in the wholesale trade, as well as the purchase of material and technical resources sold in the order of free sale.
Ensure the delivery of material resources in accordance with the terms stipulated in the contracts, control of their quantity, quality and completeness, as well as control over storage in the warehouses of the enterprise.
Prepare claims against suppliers in case of violation of their contractual obligations, control the preparation of settlements on these claims, coordinate with suppliers, if necessary, changes in the terms of concluded contracts.
Manage the development of enterprise standards for the material and technical support of the quality of products, economically justified standards for production (warehouse) stocks of material resources.
Ensure control over the state of stocks of materials and components, operational regulation of production stocks at the enterprise, compliance with the limits on the release of material resources and their expenditure in the divisions of the enterprise for its intended purpose.
Lead the development and implementation of measures to improve the efficiency of the use of material resources, reduce the costs associated with their transportation and storage, use secondary resources and production waste, improve the system for monitoring their spending, use local resources, identify and sell excess raw materials, materials, equipment and other types of material resources.
Organize the work of the warehouse, take measures to comply with the necessary storage conditions.
Ensure a high level of mechanization and automation of transport and storage operations, the use of computer systems and regulatory conditions for the organization and labor protection.
Organize the accounting of the movement of material resources in the warehouses of the enterprise, take part in the inventory of material assets.
Ensure the preparation of established reporting on the implementation of the plan for the logistics of the enterprise.
Manage department employees.

III. Rights

The head of the logistics department of the enterprise has the right to:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the enterprise's management regarding the activities of the logistics service.
Submit proposals for improvement of the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management.
Report to the immediate supervisor about the shortcomings identified in the course of the performance of their duties and make proposals for their elimination.
Sign and endorse documents within their competence.
Interact with the heads of all services, receive from them the necessary (for production purposes) information and documents.
Submit to the director of the enterprise submissions on the appointment, transfer, dismissal of employees of the department, proposals for their encouragement or the imposition of penalties on them.
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The head of the logistics department is responsible for:

For failure to perform (improper performance) of their official duties provided for by this Job Description, within the limits determined by the labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the labor, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
