I. General Provisions

  1. The head of the telecommunications department reports directly to _______.

II. Official duties

  1. Organizes, in accordance with the existing rules and instructions, the technical operation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications facilities (local, long-distance, telegraph, wire broadcasting).
  2. Ensures reliable and high-quality operation of telecommunication facilities and the fulfillment of established planned targets.
  3. Carries out control over the correct organization of operation of means of telecommunication.
  4. Participates in audits of operational activities of departments.
  5. Participates in the development and implementation of plans for the development and modernization of telecommunication networks in accordance with the Comprehensive Program for the Creation of the Unified National Communications System of Ukraine.
  6. Participates in the development of tasks for the design of new telecommunication networks and for the expansion and reconstruction of existing ones.
  7. Leads the development of measures aimed at improving the reliability of the operation of technical means of telecommunications, at improving the quality of telecommunication services.
  8. Investigates the causes of accidents and long-term damage to telecommunications facilities, develops preventive measures.
  9. Organizes practical assistance to subdivisions in carrying out complex work on the maintenance and repair of telecommunications facilities, in mastering new equipment and other telecommunications equipment, and in improving the methods of their maintenance.
  10. Analyzes the performance indicators of the department and makes suggestions for their improvement.
  11. Provides timely and high-quality consideration of complaints and applications on the operation of telecommunications facilities.
  12. Organizes work to improve the technical operation of telecommunications and automation of production processes.
  13. Ensures the introduction of new equipment and technology.
  14. Makes proposals for scientific research related to the practical activities of the branch.
  15. Organizes work on carrying out operational tests of equipment of new samples, prepares conclusions for their application.
  16. Participates in the development of general and prospective schemes for the development of telecommunications.
  17. Manages the development of long-term, annual and monthly plans for the technical operation of telecommunications and wire broadcasting.
  18. Organizes the development of plans for the overhaul and maintenance of technical means of telecommunications and wire broadcasting, controls the implementation of these plans.
  19. Participates in the organization of construction and reconstruction of telecommunication facilities, in their introduction into operation.
  20. Carries out technical expertise of projects and proposals of enterprises for their application in telecommunication networks.
  21. Participates in the preparation of contracts with enterprises and organizations.
  22. Considers rationalization proposals and inventions related to the organization of the operation of technical means of telecommunications, makes suggestions and draws conclusions.
  23. Organizes and controls the accounting of technical means.
  24. Organizes the accounting of technical equipment performance indicators, provides the subdivisions with the necessary technical documentation, measuring instruments, spare parts, operating materials, instructions, manuals, reference materials.
  25. Participates in the development of measures for the scientific organization of labor.
  26. Organizes and participates in technical training.
  27. Supervises the employees of the department, coordinates the activities of departments on relevant issues of operation of communication facilities.
  28. Collaborate with other divisions of the branch.
  29. Makes proposals to the management on the appointment, dismissal and relocation of employees of the department and the establishment of official salaries, additional payments and allowances and the imposition of penalties in accordance with applicable law.

III. Rights

The head of the telecommunications department has the right to:

  1. Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise regarding its activities.
  2. Participate in the discussion of issues related to the performance of his duties.
  3. Make suggestions for improving the work related to the provisions of this instruction.
  4. Within the limits of his competence, inform his immediate supervisor about all those identified in the course of his activities, and make proposals for their elimination.
  5. Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties.

IV. A responsibility

The head of the telecommunications department is responsible for:

  1. For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - to the extent determined by the current legislation of Ukraine.
  2. For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
  3. For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation on labor of Ukraine.

Cree XLamp XH Efficient Ceramic LEDs 03.06.2013

Renowned lighting manufacturer Cree has announced the launch of a new family of mid-range XLamp XH Series ceramic LEDs. Most of today's LEDs at this price level come in plastic cases, while newer ones feature a more durable ceramic construction. Two series are presented - XH-G and XH-B.

The efficiency of the XH-G series LEDs reaches 170 lm per watt at a load current of 65 mA and an ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.
