I. General Provisions

The head of the information department belongs to the category of managers. He is hired and dismissed from her by order of the director of the enterprise on the proposal of _______.

state system of scientific and technical information;
new information technologies;
organization of a reference and information fund;
the procedure for preparing information materials, catalogs, prospectuses for publication and the basics of editorial and publishing work;
the current procedure for coordinating translations;
organization of library work;
advanced domestic experience in the field of organization of scientific and technical information at enterprises;
fundamentals of economics, organization of production, labor and management;
main issues of labor legislation of Ukraine;
rules and regulations of labor protection.

II. Official duties

Organize work using new information technologies to provide enterprise units and individual employees with specially prepared information about domestic and foreign achievements in science, technology, economics and advanced production experience in order to increase the scientific, technical and economic knowledge of employees and create an external and internal information environment of the enterprise.
Participate in solving the problems of marketing the company's products and provide conditions for the implementation of its own marketing program for information products, the preparation of analytical and promotional materials.
Lead the work on identifying the needs of managers and specialists of the enterprise in scientific, technical and economic information necessary for studying the market situation and studying the problems of the competitiveness of the company's products, developing design and technological projects, making technical and organizational decisions, preparing measures to improve production processes, organizing labor and enterprise management.
Manage the creation of the reference and information fund of the enterprise, ensure the introduction of modern information retrieval systems, systematic replenishment of the fund on the basis of thematic plans for the acquisition of domestic and foreign materials and the use of new information technologies.
Organize a study of the information services market and marketing of information products and services of the enterprise, collection, systematization, study and generalization of information materials, preparation of abstracts and annotations, thematic reviews on the state and trends in the development of production, as well as work on comparing the results of the enterprise with the achievements of similar domestic and foreign enterprises, preparation of materials on the advanced production experience of the enterprise at the request of third-party organizations.
Monitor the use of information materials in the departments of the enterprise.
To ensure the participation of the department in promoting the achievements of domestic and foreign science and technology, best practices in organizing their implementation, as well as in holding meetings, seminars, lectures, excursions, exhibitions, demonstrations of scientific and technical films.
Organize the compilation of materials and their submission in accordance with the established procedure to scientific and technical information bodies, translation of foreign literature, catalogs, scientific and technical documentation in compliance with the current procedure for coordinating translations, keeping records of the efficiency of using information materials on the achievements of science and technology, advanced production experience at the enterprise , preparation of reports on the information work of the department.
Participate in the preparation for publication of information materials, catalogs and brochures on the products manufactured by the enterprise.
Supervise the employees of the department, as well as coordinate the work of scientific and technical societies and provide them with methodological assistance.

III. Rights

The head of the information department has the right:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise, on the issues of its activities.
Submit proposals to improve the activities of the information department for consideration by the management.
Participate in the discussion of issues related to their duties.
Sign and endorse documents within their competence.
Interact with the heads of all services, receive from them the necessary (for production purposes) information and documents.
Submit proposals to the relevant services on encouraging distinguished employees and imposing penalties on violators of production and labor discipline.
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The head of the information department is responsible for:

For non-fulfillment, improper fulfillment of the duties stipulated by this instruction, within the limits determined by the labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the labor, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
