Addiction is one of the most important problems of the modern world. Drug addiction is understood as the desire to take drugs, the desire to experience drug intoxication. When taking narcotic drugs, drug addiction is formed, other, normal desires of a person are suppressed, there is a physical attraction to the use of the drug. At the very beginning of the disease, a pronounced disorder of mental functions is a depressed state, irritability, lack of ability to concentrate. Gradually, the psychological dependence is replaced by the physical one.

There are the following signs of a violation of the physical condition: dry mouth, muscle weakness, palpitations, pallor, sweating, dilated pupils, trembling of the extremities. If the drug does not enter the body for more than a day, an abstinence syndrome may develop - this is a state of the body accompanied by severe physical and mental disorders.

Thus, society is deprived of its members, who, not thinking about their health, violate its normal and healthy stability, leading not to the progress or development of society in all respects, but to its degradation. Therefore, society is constantly fighting against drug addicts for the purpose of prevention.

At the same time, more and more narcological clinics are being opened, in which not only the treatment of such patients is carried out, but also explanatory work telling about health complications that will naturally occur if the drug addict does not stop in time and does not give up such a pernicious habit leading to the decomposition of the personality.

There are also conversations with healthy people of all ages, especially with children and young people who do not yet suffer from this disease, telling that it is much easier to become a drug addict than to recover from drug addiction.

But, unfortunately, in the media there is a dominance of negative information that intoxicates young people (films and horror books, concert shows with artists on stage and spectators in the hall who are intoxicated), which, unfortunately, does not promote the perniciousness of drug addiction, but only interests young people. , attracting mythical "freedom".

It is also worth noting such a way of preventing and preventing the development and spread of drug addiction as a criminal punishment for citizens who illegally produce, distribute and store drugs.
