Fundamentals of Safe Life Activities (OBZhD)

drug addiction refers to diseases that are caused by the abuse of drugs or substances classified as such. The abuse of other substances that have an intoxicating effect is called substance abuse. Distinguish opium addiction - the abuse of opium, its alkaloids and synthetic substitutes for morphine; hashishism - the abuse of hemp varieties containing a sufficient amount of tetrahydrocannabinol; addiction caused by stimulants; drug addiction caused by some hypnotic drugs that are narcotics.

drug addiction and substance abuse are a constant need to take specific substances, since the mental and physical state depends on whether a person has taken a drug to which addiction has developed, which leads to a gross disruption of the body's vital functions and to social degradation, being diseases with a chronic course and developing gradually. The cause of drug addiction and substance abuse is the ability of narcotic or toxic substances to cause a state of intoxication, accompanied by a feeling of complete physical and mental comfort, as well as well-being.

Exist two main paths of addiction to drugs and other chemicals that have the same effect.

First - ignorance, which is often the result of improper use of a narcotic substance prescribed by a doctor or self-medication on the advice of incompetent persons due to fear of pain, discomfort, insomnia and other painful conditions for people who are impressionable, prone to anxious and suspicious experiences and other neurotic manifestations. At the same time, without even realizing the danger of addiction, they increase the dose and frequency of taking the drug prescribed by them, as they are convinced that the improvement in well-being will last as long as they take this medicine, which will certainly lead to drug addiction.

Second - is a conscious way of taking these substances in order to obtain drug intoxication. Persons with emotional instability, mentally immature, dependent, prone to imitative actions, extremely selfish, whose interests are limited to elementary needs, go along this path; Drug addiction and substance abuse develop rapidly and are accompanied by the absorption of large doses of narcotic and other intoxicating substances.

Pollination with soap bubbles 26.06.2020

Researchers in Japan have developed a bubble pollination method that is as effective as doing it by hand.

The search for new methods of pollination of agricultural crops is due to a decrease in the population of wild insects and diseases of honey bee colonies.

The author of the development is Professor Eijiro Miyako, he came up with the idea of mixing pollen with soapy water, and then filling a special gun with liquid. The technology has already been tested in practice: scientists “fired” a pear orchard with pollen bubbles. Bubbles have a large surface area, are easy to disperse, and are not very expensive, making them ideal for this task.

The team estimated that every flower in the garden was hit by two to ten bubbles. As further observations showed, 95% of the flowers set fruit. Scientists noted that the method of manual pollination of flowers brings the same result, but it requires much more effort.

The scientist plans to improve the technology and attract drones piloted over the field. So it will be possible to increase the scale of work and improve accuracy.
