The mechanism is designed for grinding meadow grasses, nettles, burdocks, reeds, corn stalks and cobs, various root crops. The degree of crushing of green mass is regulated by the time it is in the bunker. But more on that below; First, what is a grinder.

It consists of a tripod, an electric motor with a power of 500 W at 220 V, a hopper with a lid and a cutting device of two knives - a worker and a "sweeper".

The tripod is welded from steel rods and plugged water pipes. The bunker is made from an O300 can and is 100 mm high. In the center of the bottom of the can, a hole was made for the motor shaft, and in the wall (with a bottom grip) there was a 70X70 mm window with a shutter for the exit of finished products.

In addition, a corrugated steel chipper strip 40 wide and 1 mm thick is riveted to the wall from the inside, designed to throw large particles flying away from the center onto the knives.

The bunker is attached with three M6 studs to the body of the electric motor mounted on a tripod, and is covered with a lid, in which an inlet 50x50 mm in size is made for supplying raw materials.

Now about knives. They are made of a two-handed saw blade and mounted on a bushing fixed to the motor shaft with an M6 screw. The lower one, the "sweeper", is curved like a propeller and is intended for throwing uncut stems onto a working knife located twenty millimeters higher, as well as for sweeping the finished green mass into the output of the bunker.

Unlike a blunt "sweeper", a working knife has sharply sharpened cutting edges. The ends of the knife are slightly bent down - so it cuts better.

The grinder is used as follows. The engine is started, and the grass intended for cutting is sent to the inlet in the lid (the damper is closed). The rotating blades pick up the grass and chop it up. The degree of grinding, as mentioned above, depends on the time spent in the bunker: the longer, the finer. On average, 5-6 s is enough for the entire operation. After that, the damper is opened, and the green mass begins to pour from the exit window in a continuous stream. Under normal operating conditions, you can get up to 100 kg of products per hour.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Islamic phone 01.11.2003

As you know, Muslims should pray with their faces turned towards Mecca.

In Malaysia, they began to produce a cell phone that, anywhere on Earth, shows the direction to this sacred city. It is enough to turn your face to the north and enter the name of the city where you are in the phone - and an arrow appears on the device screen, indicating the direction to Mecca.

One cellular phone company in Malaysia even offers an additional service: for a small fee, the phone will remind you five times a day with an inscription on the display that it is time to pray.
