The basis of the motor winch, developed by Muscovite I. Sorokin, is the V-50 engine - at one time such an engine with a power of about 2 hp. equipped with "heavy" mopeds such as "Riga" or "Karpaty" (there are many such vehicles now stored in garages and sheds). The engine is mounted on a motor mount welded from sections of steel pipes with a diameter of 30x2,5 mm and sheet steel parts about 3 mm thick. On top of the motor mount, a steering wheel from a moped is fixed, from below - a support platform made of pipes with a drum and a drive sprocket. At the back, an anchor device is hung on the support platform - a U-shaped spring-loaded tubular frame with two anchors welded to it from steel pointed plates, similar to the blade of a sapper shovel.

A moped wheel hub is used as a winch drum (the hub of any light motorcycle is also suitable), to which a duralumin cheek and a driven sprocket are attached - for example, a large gear wheel from a road bike.

If the gear ratio of the chain reducer is insufficient, you will have to make a driven sprocket with a large number of teeth - sheet duralumin 4-5 mm thick is best suited for this. Calculating such an asterisk is not too difficult. To do this, the number of teeth of the future sprocket (for example, z \u80d 12,7) is multiplied by 1016 mm (chain pitch), resulting in a pitch circle length (3,14 mm). Further, this value is divided by 323,6 (number "pi"), and the result is the diameter of the dividing circle Dd = XNUMX mm).

mark the center of the future sprocket on the workpiece, draw a dividing circle with a caliper, carefully divide it into 80 parts (each - 12,7 mm!), Carefully punch the centers of the holes, the diameter of which should correspond to the diameter of the chain bushings, and then drill all 80 holes (best - on a drilling machine). Next, you should select a rod whose diameter is equal to the diameter of the chain bushing, and, alternately inserting it into each of the holes and using the drive bicycle sprocket as a template, draw the profile of each of the teeth on the workpiece. The complete transformation of a metal disk into an asterisk is carried out using a hacksaw and files.

The fuel tank is a plastic canister for engine oil with a capacity of 3 liters; in its lower part there is a standard motorcycle faucet with a sump.

The winch controls are the same as those of any moped - on the right on the steering wheel - the "gas" handle and the handbrake lever (that it slows down with it - a little later), on the left - the clutch lever and gear selector.

The winch engine is equipped with a small home-made muffler welded from thin-walled pipes with a diameter of 20 mm and 80 mm and a pair of plugs made of sheet steel 2 mm thick. Inside the muffler is tangled steel wire or thin drain shavings. The device is extremely simple, but very effective.

As a rule, an engine of this type can run for a long time without forced cooling - especially if it is blown by the wind. However, it is still better to equip it with a forced air cooling system. To do this, a V-belt pulley is fixed on the rotor-flywheel, and a bracket with a bearing housing is mounted on the cylinder head, in which a pair of ball bearings are installed, and in them a shaft with a pulley and a fan impeller.

A few words about how to use such a motor winch. First of all, it is placed on the edge of the site and fixed with an anchor device. The gear lever is moved to the neutral position, and the working tool (plow, hiller or cultivator) is taken to the opposite end of the site. It is best to work together: one controls the winch, and the other controls the plow.

So, let's begin. Using the kick starter, we start and warm up the engine, then squeeze the clutch control lever, engage first gear and slowly release the clutch lever. In this case, the cable begins to wind on the drum, and the plow begins to move. That, in fact, is all.

Of course, it would be irrational to use a convenient, compact power unit only for tillage. Meanwhile, it can be used almost without alteration as a drive for a cargo trailer.

With the help of such a "hybrid", for example, the problem of delivering a motorized winch to the place of work is perfectly solved - it gets there on its own, delivering a plow or cultivator, shovels and planting material. At the place of work, a motorized truck turns into a motorized winch in half an hour, with the help of which the planned work is carried out.

And then - the reverse transformation, and the motorized truck delivers home not only agricultural implements, but also, say, the harvested potato crop.

To turn the winch into the power unit of a motorized truck, it will have to be finalized. To do this, instead of a support platform, a wheel with a driven sprocket is installed on the frame, and the cable from the hand brake lever on the right handlebar is connected to the brake device on the wheel hub.

The basis of the cargo trailer is a welded frame assembled from steel pipes of various diameters, on which a plywood body is mounted. The frame is connected to the motor unit with the help of a drawbar, the front end of which ends with a steering column. The latter is a piece of pipe with a diameter of 30x2,5 mm with a pair of bronze or textolite bushings. The other end of the drawbar is welded to the axis of the cart - a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of 30x2,5 mm, in which two semi-axes are fixed by welding, which are stepped rollers with threads on the outer parts.

The diameter of the axle shaft must match the diameter of the wheel bearings.

Two struts are welded to the axle of the bogie with platforms for attaching body cradles, cut from a wooden block with a section of 40x100 mm. The body is assembled from plywood blanks 12 mm thick and metal (steel or duralumin) corners on bolts and nuts with M6 thread.

A seat and a T-shaped step for the driver are installed in front of the body. It should be noted that the steering angle is about 90 degrees to the right and left, so that the motorized truck can turn around literally on a patch.

If the motorized truck will be used at night, it makes sense to equip it with a headlight and rear "dimensions" powered by the low-voltage winding of the generator.
