No matter how popular the flower beds are among lovers of planting flowers, however, they, as a rule, are not much different from garden beds. And this impression is not saved by an attempt to ennoble them with all kinds of brick curbs, fences from random pipes or, even worse, tires from car wheels. In addition, such flower beds have a permanent "registration": they cannot be moved somewhere if necessary without destroying them.

That is why flower lovers are increasingly turning to small structures on the model of ground garden vases, but in a collapsible version. Compared to traditional flower beds, they have a lot of advantages. The main thing is a more advantageous view and the ability to easily change location depending on the circumstances. An example of this is the similar "mobile" construction of a flower garden offered by the Hungarian magazine "Ezermešter".

Imagine a flower bed, broken at the gate or gate of a suburban area, and a car of coal, manure or sand was brought to you - do not chip on the flowers! And a small autonomous flower garden can always be moved and then returned to its place. And aesthetically, such flower beds are more attractive.

The design in question is interesting in that it is assembled, like a children's construction set, from individual parts, making it possible to create twin flower beds. If desired, of different sizes and heights: from small “one-story” to “skyscrapers” resembling columns (therefore, the design is also suitable for the architectural design of auxiliary buildings on the site).

What are these details?

All of them are of the same type, like twins, and are even designed for pairing. In essence, this is the same wooden block, repeated as many times as necessary to assemble the intended flower garden. Toward the ends, grooves are sawn in the bars at an angle, allowing the bars to be connected to each other half a tree in series until a closed octagonal ring is obtained. with beautiful ribbing from protruding ends.

By building up octahedrons tier by tier, you can get a container of the desired height. So that it does not fall apart, at the end of the assembly, the rings are strung with pre-drilled holes on metal studs and tightly tightened with nuts. For greater decorativeness of the flower beds, thick washers can be strung on the studs after each tier during assembly. Horizontal slots will be obtained, which will not only decorate the flower garden, but will also contribute to the removal of excess moisture from it during heavy rains.

As already noted, the design can be multifunctional, since it is easy to vary its dimensions (they depend on the length of the module bar) and height (the number of tiers during assembly). For example, it is not difficult to make at least a compost box in this way, at least unusual supports for a gazebo.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Census in the ocean 17.08.2010

More than 2000 biologists from different countries of the world cooperate in the international project "Census of the population of the seas".

The project lasted ten years and is nearing completion. More than 50 new forms of marine life have been discovered, including 000 species of marine worms, hundreds of small crustaceans and many microbes.

It is believed that a billion species of microbes live in the seas and oceans, and their total number is nonillion - this is one followed by 30 zeros. By weight, microbes can make up 90% of all biomass in the sea.
