Which artist's paintings correspond to the mathematical description of turbulent flows?

Mathematicians who studied Van Gogh's paintings came to the conclusion that the swirls on some of his canvases quite accurately describe turbulent air flows invisible to the eye. This is expressed in the fact that the greater or lesser brightness of the points in the patterns is proportional to the velocities of the flow points in the corresponding coordinates in the mathematical modeling of turbulence. Scientists also note that similar paintings, including the famous Starry Night, were painted by Van Gogh during periods of mental instability.

Where do warts come from?

Many people have naive and misconceptions about the origin of warts. For example, some believe that warts will appear on their hands if they mess around with frogs or toads. Or that they can pass on to you from other animals. All this is false. Warts don't come from dealing with frogs, and while dogs and livestock have warts too, their warts can't pass on to you.

Warts are caused by a virus, which is a tiny bacterium. They can be infected from another person who is a carrier of this virus. A wart is a small growth on the skin, the surface of which is usually quite rough and sometimes hard. It may be flesh-colored or slightly darker than normal skin.

Because warts are caused by a virus, they can spread over the skin if the area is scratched, spreading the virus. Therefore, sometimes people have whole clusters of warts on the body. They usually disappear after a year or two, but there is no guarantee that they will not continue to spread indefinitely. Therefore, it is best to consult a doctor about warts.

In the treatment of warts, folk remedies are often used, but special preparations have also been developed that are injected into each wart separately. If the wart grows in a place where pressure is constantly applied to it, for example, on the foot or on the palm, this complicates the matter somewhat. It may harden, in which case it must be removed.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Compact version of the GeForce GTX 970 graphics card 24.10.2014

With the growing popularity of compact gaming systems with discrete graphics, the demand for small but powerful graphics cards is on the rise. Case manufacturers offer many models of Micro ATX or even Mini ITX format, but if designing a case, even a small one, is relatively simple, then creating a compact video card is a much more difficult task, because high-end accelerators surpass modern central processors in terms of power consumption and heat dissipation.

The first truly compact yet powerful video adapters began to appear after the announcement of the NVIDIA Kepler graphics architecture and the GK104 processor. The idea was especially taken to heart by ASUS, which released a series of DirectCU Mini video cards: first the GTX670-DCMOC, and then the GTX760-DCMOC. With solutions based on AMD Radeon chips, things were worse due to higher TDP, but you can still remember such a model as the MSI Radeon R9 270X Gaming ITX. Now GIGABYTE has joined in the pursuit of compactness, introducing a new GeForce GTX 970 model with a shortened base.

The new model with the GV-N970IXOC-4GD index is a full-fledged version of the GeForce GTX 970 and differs from the usual variants only in dimensions, or rather, in length - after all, creating a low-profile video card with a TDP of 145 watts is hardly possible. Although many lovers of compact systems would take this version of the GeForce GTX 970 with enthusiasm. The GV-N970IXOC-4GD's PCB is only 12 centimeters long, which means that most Mini ITX cases that accept dual-slot expansion cards will easily accept it into their guts.

The question arises, what did GIGABYTE donate when creating new items? At first glance, nothing. GV-N970IXOC-4GD even has a small factory overclock: 1076/1216 MHz against the reference 1051/1178 MHz. A single eight-pin connector with a load capacity of 150 watts is used to connect the power. The cooling system of the novelty is quite simple and, for obvious reasons, uses only one fan, but otherwise it is made according to modern canons: the copper base transfers the heat flow to the aluminum radiator through three heat pipes, two of which have a diameter of 8 millimeters.

Shortened ASUS solutions were rightly criticized for the increased noise level. It is possible that the acoustic performance of the new GIGABYTE solution will also be somewhat worse than that of traditional-sized graphics cards. But the developer company is absolutely sure about the performance of the cooling system and even gives figures: 62 degrees Celsius under load in the Metro: Last Light shooter versus 76 degrees demonstrated by the reference NVIDIA cooler under the same conditions. There are no savings on switching capabilities either: the card has two DVI ports, one of which supports only digital connection, three DisplayPort connectors and a full-size HDMI connector.

The recommended price of the novelty is $330.
