How long is the Great Wall of China?

The Great Wall, or, as the Chinese call it, the Long Wall, stretched across the whole of Northern China for 4 kilometers. It began to be built in the 9th-6rd centuries BC, when individual Chinese states were forced to defend themselves from the raids of the nomads of Central Asia. All work on this gigantic building was completed in the 10rd century. The western part of the Great Wall has been preserved in its original form to this day. On it, the Chinese grow rice and many other crops. The Great Chinese Canal stretches across the entire Great Plain of China, the length of which is 1700 kilometers, built in ancient times.
