 Random interesting fact from the Great Encyclopedia:

How do frogs hatch from eggs?

Although frogs live on land, many frog species venture into the water when it's time to lay their eggs. This usually happens in the spring. The frog looks for quiet corners near the very shore of a pond or a small lake, in shallow water. At night or early in the morning, the female lays a certain number of eggs, eggs. They are connected in a solid mass, resembling jelly, and attached to some plant in the pond.

One small frog lays two to three thousand eggs. Large - from 6 to 8 thousand. Each egg is round, black on top, light in weight, about 1,5 mm in diameter.

Freshly laid caviar is no more than a teaspoon in volume, but then it increases several times compared to its original size. After a few days or weeks, depending on the type of frog, the eggs burst and tadpoles emerge from them. They have a tail fin and gills. At first, the gills are on the outside of the body. But gradually they are covered with skin, and lungs are formed inside the body and other changes occur. Paws develop. The hind ones show first, while the anterior ones remain underdeveloped until the last stage of metamorphosis occurring with the tadpole. The tail is absorbed by the body and completely disappears by the time the tadpole turns into an adult frog, ready for life on land.

The full transformation of a tadpole into a frog takes a week if the weather is warm. In cool weather, this takes a little more than a week.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Panel thermostats series 7T81 from Finder 03.07.2015

Panel thermostats are used to control the microclimate inside electrical panels. They ensure that the heater turns on when the temperature falls below the setpoint and the fan turns on when the temperature rises above the setpoint.

The 7T81 series manufactured by the Italian company Finder are simple thermostats with one output, therefore they can work either for heating (they have a red setting dial on the front panel) or for cooling (the blue setting dial). They differ from the outdated generation of thermostats in a standard modular design with a width of 17,5 mm and an increased number of operating cycles.

Due to their simple design, the thermostats are kept at a budget level, which allows them to be used in small projects.

Specifications:

- small size;
- increased reaction to the deviation of electrical parameters from the norm;
- work on the basis of a bimetallic sensor;
- wide range of temperature settings: 0...+60°C for 7T8100002403, 7T8100002303 and -20...+40°C for 7T8100002401, 7T8100002301;
- mounted on a standard DIN rail.
