How does a person live who has no pulse at all?

A person can function normally if the blood through the vessels does not go in jerks, but in a continuous stream. This was proved by the doctors of the American Craig Lewis, who was dying of a heart disease - even an electronic pacemaker could not save his life. As a result, the patient's heart was removed, but connected to a different type of device that helps blood continuously circulate through his body. Lewis lived for five weeks, literally without a pulse, and his ECG had a straight line the whole time. The cause of his death was liver failure due to amyloidosis, which was not related to the implanted apparatus.

How do antibiotics work?

Antibiotics are chemicals. Once in the body, they kill or stop the growth of certain microbes, helping the body fight disease. The name "antibiotics" has been used in relation to these drugs since 1942. The word is derived from two Greek words meaning "against life." Antibiotics work against life forms we call germs and bacteria. Many antibiotics are made from microbes.

Microbes are small living organisms. For example, bacteria and molds are also microbes. The microbes used to make antibiotics are chosen for their ability to produce chemicals that can "wage war" against disease-causing microbes. In other words, man takes advantage of the struggle that takes place between microbes in nature. Microbes are constantly fighting for survival. In the process of this struggle, they produce rather complex chemical compounds. Investigating microbes, scientists found in them substances that can destroy pathogenic bacteria. If such chemicals are produced in the laboratory, and in large quantities, they can be used as raw materials for the manufacture of antibiotics.

How do antibiotics treat diseases? How do they get to the right part of the body where they need to work? How do antibiotics stop the growth of certain microbes? It may sound rather strange, but scientists have not yet come to an unambiguous answer to these questions. Some scientists believe that antibiotics block the access of oxygen to pathogenic bacteria. Without oxygen, they cannot reproduce.

Others believe that antibiotics prevent bacteria from getting nutrients from the patient's body, and they die of starvation. Still others believe that pathogenic bacteria confuse their usual food with antibiotics, "eat" them and "poison". Probably antibiotics work in different ways.

The same antibiotic can act differently on different bacteria. On one occasion, he kills them. In the other, it only weakens them and enables the natural protective resources of the body to fight the disease themselves.

Google Pixel Buds Pro Wireless Headphones 15.05.2022

Google introduced the Pixel Buds Pro TWS wireless headphones. As the name suggests, this is a premium audio product that can compete with the Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro.

The Pixel Buds Pro look just like the Pixel Buds introduced in 2020. Inside, they are equipped with a custom-made six-core audio processor that works with Google's algorithms to reproduce sound using custom drivers. They also use a feature called Silent Seal to adapt to the shape of your ears and thereby maximize the amount of noise cancelled.

The earbuds have an in-ear design and are equipped with silicone tips. They received special sensors that "measure the pressure in the ear canal so that the earbuds can actively release pressure and stay comfortable." Buds Pro retail packaging includes eartips in three different sizes.

The sound in the Pixel Buds Pro is handled by a specially designed 11mm driver. The volume equalizer automatically adjusts the sound setting based on the volume level. There is a transparency mode that allows ambient sound to pass through, allowing the user to hear ambient sounds without removing the headphones.

Pixel Buds Pro allows users to easily switch between frequently used Android devices without going into Bluetooth settings. In addition, they can be paired with two audio sources at the same time.

With ANC activated, the Pixel Buds Pro can last up to 7 hours, while normal playback time is about 11 hours. The headphones support wireless and fast charging. The company claims that they will be able to work up to one hour after 5 minutes of charging.

The earbuds are IPX4 water resistant and the charging case is IPX2 water resistant. Some of the other features available include Google Assistant support, spatial audio, Fast Pair, beamforming microphones, windproof mesh covers, voice accelerometer, and touch controls.

The Pixel Buds Pro will be available for pre-orders with the Pixel 6a on July 21st. They will be available from July 28 for $199 in the following color options: Coral, Lemongrass, Fog and Charcoal.
