Why do muscles hurt after exercise?

The human body contains 639 muscles, each of which has its own name! Together they form flesh. Many muscles are tightly connected to the bones of the skeleton. The skeleton forms the frame, and the muscles move the various parts of the body. Without them, man would not be able to live. It would not only be impossible to eat, breathe, speak, but the heart would also stop, because its work is also provided by the muscles.

All muscles are made up of long, thin cells called muscle fibers. But muscles differ in what and how they do. They differ in shape, appearance, size and other features. When a muscle contracts, it releases an acid called lactic acid. The effect of lactic acid is that it makes you tired. Its effect is similar to poison. It makes the muscles tired.

If lactic acid is removed from a tired muscle, then the feeling of fatigue disappears and the muscle is ready to work again! But, of course, lactic acid is not excreted under normal conditions when you exercise or work. In addition, other toxins can be produced when the muscles are engaged in vigorous activity. They are carried by the blood throughout the body and cause fatigue not only in the muscles, but throughout the body, especially in the brain. Therefore, the feeling of fatigue after muscular work is actually a kind of internal poisoning that occurs in the body.

But the feeling of fatigue is necessary for the body in order to have a desire to rest. As waste is removed during rest, cells are cleansed, nerve cells recharge their batteries, depleted lubrication reserves are restored in the joints, and so on. So physical exercises are very useful for the whole body and muscles, but rest is no less important!

Random interesting fact from the Great Encyclopedia:

What is an oedipus complex?

This concept was introduced by the famous Austrian psychologist Sigmund Freud (1856-1939). The name is taken from the ancient Greek myth of King Oedipus. The Oedipus complex is a subconscious disposition, a son's attraction to his mother, with a simultaneous subconscious rejection of the other parent. A similar attraction of the daughter to the father is the Electra complex.

The so-called Oedipal phase according to Freud is necessary for the development of a child aged 3-5 years. If such relationships are not overcome in childhood, the complex can become a source of mental abnormalities.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Intel Optane drives 24.04.2017

Intel has unveiled the benefits of a new type of Optane drive that claims to bring a whole new level of PC speed to a wide variety of tasks.

At the heart of Optane is the advanced 3D XPoint memory technology. It is characterized by high performance and component density, low power consumption and affordable price. This non-volatile memory is up to 1000 times faster and has up to 1000 times longer life than NAND memory.

Intel says that when using Optane in systems based on XNUMXth Gen Core processors (Kaby Lake platform), the initial boot of the computer can be up to two times faster.

In addition, there is an increase in overall performance up to 28%, and the storage subsystem can run up to 14 times faster. Compared to conventional storage, applications like Microsoft Outlook launch up to six times faster, Chrome Browser launches up to five times faster, games load up to 67% faster, and game levels load up to 65%.

The 16GB and 32GB Intel Optane memory modules for desktops will be available on April 24th. Users will be able to install them on compatible motherboards. In addition, starting in the second quarter of this year, PC manufacturers such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer and many others will begin to bring to the market ready-made models of computers that are originally equipped with Optane drives.
