How did the ball game originate?

It is curious how boys of all times and countries come up with games. The game of balls, for example, which is known to the children of any city, has been familiar almost all over the world since prehistoric times! True, no one knows when it appeared, but it obviously refers to the time when it was discovered that the round stone ball was rolling. And this applies at least to the Stone Age. Among the excavations of the Stone Age, scientists discovered small balls that were so small that they could not be used anywhere except for the game.

Before the advent of Christianity, the children of ancient Egypt and Rome played this game. In Europe, it began to be played in the Middle Ages. In England, this game originated from another called "balls". Today, the game is played almost everywhere in the world in one form or another. South American boys call her "hurts". Chinese guys roll the balls so that they hit each other. Children of Persian peasants make such balls from clay or use small stones. Even the Zulus play this game! There are two types of games in the USA. One is called "Arrows", the second "Game balls".

"Arrows" have another name: "Marbles", it is common in some parts of the country. Such a ball cannot exceed 19 mm in diameter, but must not be less than 0,53 mm. It can be made of glass, pressed clay, agate, or plastic. The winner is the one who hits the other balls more times. Sometimes the balls are named after the materials from which they are made. A large number of balls made of pressed clay or natural onyx come from Ohio. They also make balls from glass: the glass is melted and, while it is hot, is poured into a round, polished metal shape cut in half.

Li-Fi network tested at 150 Mbps 28.10.2013

Chinese researchers at Fudan University in Shanghai have announced that they have successfully tested Li-Fi wireless technology.
