What is humidity?

Therefore, humidity always exists, but its value is different. There are many ways to express humidity, and there are two terms - "absolute humidity" and "relative humidity". Let's see what they mean.

"Absolute humidity" is the amount of water vapor per unit volume of air, that is, it is a certain number of particles in a cubic meter of air. But in practice it doesn't tell us anything. If you want to know how you will feel in certain conditions, the concept of "four units per cubic meter" will not tell us anything about whether the air is dry or humid. The more moisture from your body goes into the air, the better you feel. The intensity of air evaporation depends on temperature, and absolute humidity just says nothing about this air characteristic.

Relative humidity is expressed as a percentage. Relative humidity of one hundred percent means a state of complete saturation of the air or a given air space completely filled with water vapor. The higher the temperature, the more water vapor the air contains. Thus, on a hot day, a relative humidity of 90% means that there is a huge amount of moisture in the air, and on such a day you will feel unsatisfactory.
