How to shoot a wedding, a child or a fishing trip?

It's painful to watch someone else's home video. All those trips, holidays and other drunken fun. As a rule, it seems interesting only to the owners of such a video, and even then only for the first fifteen minutes. However, even without being a professional, many mistakes can be easily avoided by following a few simple rules.

"Art requires sacrifice."

In this case, we are not talking about serious losses, but a few extra gestures will have to be done.

1. Shoot action first. Do not film "a child with a kitten" or "Aunt Klava" with a video camera - there is a camera for this. Do the story "Chasing a kitten" or "Aunt Klava goes crazy when she first sees our new apartment." Try to capture the event, not the picture.

2. Try to do less camera movement. The moving camera is a VERY complex tool. Not every professional operator will cope with it. It is clear that the use of a tripod at home is rare, but try to fix the camera in any way when shooting. An image stabilizer is a good thing, but don't expect it to do all the work for you.

3. Make an action plan. What do you shoot, where, how and why. For example, when shooting a wedding, it is worth figuring out in advance which episodes you need to capture. Suppose, knowing that you need the groom to visit the bride's house, you need to choose a place from where you will shoot. Most likely, there will be a need to select and occupy a shooting point in advance. Think about how it will be more convenient for you to do this - whether you need to arrive a little earlier or overtake everyone, filming the passage of people "on yourself". Reflecting on all this, in the first place put the question - "how will it be better seen?". If you're filming without counting on editing, then shoot as short as possible. Although, it is unlikely that something worthwhile will come out of this. If you bought a camera - keep in mind that you will need to not only shoot, but also mount. Otherwise, the camera is just an expensive accessory on the shelf. The easiest way to edit is when recording video from a camera to a tape recorder. For more complex use a computer. Now there are all technical possibilities for this. The camera is much more expensive than devices for digitizing video (and modern computers with modern cameras generally communicate directly through DV connectors). If you cannot process the video in any way, then buying a camera is just a waste of money and time.

4. Do not use special effects if you do not own them masterfully, and most importantly, do not know the answer to the question "do you need it?". For example, it makes sense to use a black and white image if you are making a parody of a silent movie or a military chronicle. In another case, this is no longer an effect, but simply - "look, I have a button, I can press it and you won't do anything to me!".

5. Actually, it is better not to press any extra buttons at all during shooting.

6. Remember that the optimal timing of the plot is about 10-15 minutes, no more. Everything above is already a big fan. After this period of time, the attention of any viewer is dulled. In the production of Hollywood blockbusters, this is taken into account and, as a quarter of an hour passes, something is immediately blown up. Can you afford to blow something up? No?! Then throw out everything superfluous!

7. Use your favorite music for editing. Believe me - this will greatly facilitate your task and make the process more enjoyable.

8. What size to shoot? Let's take two for simplicity. One plan to show the situation - so that everything fits into the frame ("Are you drinking already at the dacha or are you still in Kolya's car?"), And the second, so that you can see the details - ("the machine is still in the child's hand or is he Have you swallowed it yet?" Everything else is unnecessary, in this case, aesthetics.

Approved a single standard chargers for all gadgets 02.12.2022
