Fate plays with man

Music
Music

Phraseologism: Fate plays with man.

Meaning: About the circumstances of life that interfere with the plans of a person.

Origin: A line from the song "Noisy, the fire of Moscow burned ...", written by an unknown composer to the words of the poet and playwright of the 1859th century. N. S. Sokolova, who was better known as the author of light genre works - vaudeville and comedies ("Baron Brambeus", "The Bride Under Lock", "Pranksters, or Village Grooms", etc.). The basis of the text of the song was a slightly altered poem by Sokolov "He" (about Napoleon), published by the author in 1850 in the anthology "Poetic Sketches". The meaning of the poem is to remind both Russia and the world about the unenviable fate of Napoleon Bonaparte, whose fame burned down in the fire of the Moscow fire. And the immediate reason for its creation was the situation of the approaching Crimean War. It was then, in 1848, that the words of the Russian Tsar Nicholas I were heard that if the then President of France (1852-1808) Louis Napoleon Bonaparte (1873-100) tries to attack Russia, then he will suffer the fate of his predecessor - he will be lured to Moscow and set fire to it together with uninvited guests. The song experienced its second peak of popularity on the eve of the 1812th anniversary of the war of XNUMX. Many gramophone records with recordings of this song were released, and often in different versions, under different names. The canonical version of the song begins with the words: "The Moscow fire was noisy, burning, // Smoke spread along the river, // And on the Kremlin walls in the distance // He stood in a gray frock coat. // And the great one became thoughtful, // Crossing his arms over his chest, // He saw the fiery sea, // He saw doom ahead... // The song ends with the words: // Fate plays with a man, // It is always changeable, // It will lift him high, // It will throw him into the abyss without shame."

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Most young people watch their body for the sake of social networks 19.08.2016

Most young people monitor their body tone in order to post pictures of it on social networks. This is evidenced by the results of studies conducted by specialists from the University of East Anglia.

According to scientists, the trend of attending gyms and constant diets among young people began to gain popularity in the early 90s. It was then that most young people had the opportunity to use blogs and the first social networks to publish their pictures. In most cases, this study focuses primarily on girls who take care of their bodies in order to be sexy and attractive among their peers.

Scientists note that it is the Internet and television that influence young people who strive to be sexual. Seeing attractive bodies in sports stars and erotic films, boys and girls try to imitate them. In this regard, there is a need for classes in gyms and constant diets, which can lead to negative consequences at an early age.

In the course of research conducted by scientists from the University of East Anglia, it was possible to establish that approximately 55 percent of all boys and girls surveyed go in for sports solely in order to look sexy and attractive on their pages on social networks. In addition, about 20 percent of them drink alcohol and smoke, which affects their body. Only 35 percent of those surveyed said that they go in for sports solely for the sake of improving their health.
