Phraseologism: bird language.

Meaning: Speech overloaded with terms and wording obscuring the meaning, understood only by a few or generally poorly understood.

Origin: The author of this expression is Dmitry Matveyevich Perevoshchikov (1788-1880), professor of astronomy at Moscow University, who thus characterized the language of Russian philosophical writings of the 1820s-1840s, overloaded with terms and formulations understandable only to "initiates". A. I. Herzen points to its authorship in his memoirs “The Past and Thoughts” (vol. 1, ch. 7): “In 1844, I met with Perevoshchikov at Shchepkin and sat next to him at dinner.
