Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Radio modem based on CC1310 01.03.2016

Texas Instruments has released new software for the CC1310 that turns the chip into a complete radio modem controlled by AT commands. The CC1310 system on a chip consists of a Cortex-M3 microcontroller and a Sub1GHz radio, which allows you to create complete devices with wireless data transmission on a chip. However, in many cases it is required to add a radio channel to an already existing system with its own microcontroller. The new firmware (firmware) allows to solve this problem in a short time and with a minimum of engineering effort.

The rfEasyLinkNp software turns the CC1310 into a network processor, ie. into a microchip that completely takes care of all the tasks associated with wireless data transmission. At the same time, the system designer does not need to dive into the internal structure of the CC1310, packet formation features, modulation parameters, etc. This approach is often used by radio module manufacturers.

To add a wireless protocol, just read the description of a dozen AT commands. For example, to receive data, the main system controller sends the AT+RX command to the network processor , which in turn outputs the received data to the UART.

The network processor can do address broadcasting and has message filtering when receiving, which allows you to organize a "Star" network of hundreds and even thousands of devices in the 868 MHz band.

The unique feature of rfEasyLinkNp software is its completely open source code. This allows the advanced developer to add new AT commands or modify existing ones. Additionally, the network processor contains commands to generate a continuous carrier and send packets for transmission error testing, which will be extremely useful when testing devices in the production process.
