Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Explosive Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is back on sale 01.07.2017

Samsung intends to release 400 refurbished Galaxy Note 7 smartphones to the South Korean market, which were recalled worldwide due to battery explosions.

The company positions it as a "fan edition". It is designed, among other things, for those users who have not yet returned explosive devices for sentimental reasons.

The flagship Galaxy Note 7, released by the company in the summer of 2016, was completely withdrawn from sale and withdrawn from users due to numerous cases of battery explosion.

Samsung says it was able to return 98% of the 3,06 million Galaxy Note 7 smartphones it brought to market before the recall. Some users, for sentimental reasons, kept explosive devices even after the general recall, now they will have a safe alternative, writes The Verge. Approximately 2,5 million Galaxy Note 7s are in resalable condition.

Analysts believe that the appearance on the market of the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will not negatively affect sales of the Galaxy S8.
