Astronomers from the University of Texas (USA) have found the most accurate astronomical clock in the constellation Leo Minor.

The white dwarf, a star under the index G117-B15A, pulsates, changing its brightness every 215 seconds. This period is observed with such accuracy that an error of one second can accumulate in only 8 million years. To check the accuracy of the course, I had to follow the star for 9 years.

Note that the most accurate man-made atomic clocks are now about twice as accurate as celestial ones.
