Focus Description:

How can you increase the number of cards in the spectator's hand.

Focus secret:

Unbeknownst to the audience, you must count out about a dozen of the top cards and separate them with the little finger of your left hand from the rest of the deck. Invite one of the spectators to take as many cards as he wants. At the same time, you try to give him all or almost all of the separated cards into his hands. If you have not been able to give him all the cards marked with the little finger without the spectator noticing, then you can easily find out how many cards he has by glancing at the number of separated cards in your hand.

You kind of weigh the rest of the deck of cards in your hand and say that judging by the weight, he took ten cards. "Check if I'm right," you say to the viewer. While he is counting the cards, discreetly hide four more cards in the palm of your right hand. "Now fold the cards and press them firmly with your hand," you advise the viewer. Along with these words, you move the cards towards the spectator with your right hand, which will allow you to quietly add the cards hidden in your hand to them.

"How many cards should I add to yours, three or four?" - you ask the viewer. Most likely he will answer "Four" - and then everything is fine. But you must be prepared for the fact that he will answer: "Three." In this case, you say: "Give me one card to make way for other cards." If the spectator says "Two", then to clear the way for the cards, ask him for 2 cards. If the spectator names only one card, then you will say that you will send three other spectators each card.

While the spectators are counting the cards, you can again hide the three cards in your hand. After the spectators have counted the cards, when everyone is convinced that your promise has been fulfilled, say that you have decided to send three cards to another spectator. You give the spectator to hold the cards, but, taking the cards in your right hand, add the hidden cards to them. Then you give the cards to the spectator, ask him to hold the cards as tightly as possible and say something like "Voila!" After that, let the spectator count the cards in his hand. Complete triumph!

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

World's largest electric skyscraper to be built 22.04.2022

The new skyscraper will be powered by 100% renewable energy from New York State's hydroelectric power plant. The 60-story tower will be occupied by the new headquarters of JPMorgan Chase.

Other energy efficient features include triple glazed windows and water reuse systems that reduce consumption by up to 40%. The tower will also use "intelligent building technology" using sensors to control and reduce energy consumption.

The architects at Foster + Partners say 97% of the building materials on the site will be recycled or reused. Residents will have access to air filtration systems and contactless technology, as well as circadian lighting that minimizes exposure to electric light.

About 70% of New York City's greenhouse gas emissions come from buildings, according to the City. Meanwhile, New York lawmakers are considering new rules under the All-Electric Buildings Act. The new bill is expected to reduce carbon emissions by millions of tonnes and provide low-income residents with access to affordable energy.
