This is the name of a card that is longer and wider than all the other cards in the deck, by about 1 mm. This card protrudes slightly beyond the borders of the deck and thanks to this magician it is easy to remove the deck on it.

To make a long card, you need to buy two identical ordinary decks. On one deck, you cut off the edges a little. This can be done well and neatly in any bookbinding workshop. Then any card from the standard deck will be "long" for this deck.

It is very good to have a deck with cards in the form of a cone. In this case, any flipped card becomes long for this deck. We call a card conical when one end is wider than the other by about 2 mm. In a conical deck stacked with all the cut ends on one side, a card flipped the other way will protrude from the narrow end of the deck and can serve as a long card.

This can be used in many ways. For example, you fold such a deck to one side, then invite the viewer to draw one card and memorize it, and then put it back into the deck, but first you turn it over with respect to the entire deck. Even by shuffling the deck, you will immediately find a spectator card.

You can trim the narrow edges of the red cards in the deck, then fold it so that the edges of the red cards face one way and the edges of the black cards face the other way. If you hold the deck by the edges with your thumbs and forefingers, you can easily separate the red suit from the black suit, or the pieces from the plain cards, if this deck has been prepared.

A long card and a conical deck have their advantages. A long card is more visible to the magician, but it is one, that is, after performing one trick with it, you can no longer use it for the next. In a conical deck, any card can become long, but it's not that reliable. The disadvantage of the conical deck is that the card must be turned over. But all these tricks are for beginner magicians. Real masters of their craft rely more and develop the dexterity of their fingers.

DJI has released the Osmo Action action camera. The device has a rugged design, which ensures survival in extreme conditions. The novelty is made dustproof, shockproof, waterproof and capable of operating at temperatures below zero.
