Consider the options for false shuffles, when the desired card remains in mind, while other cards are really shuffled.

The first method

We take a deck of cards in the left hand. If the card you need does not lie on the top of the deck, then put the left little finger on it and, using the volt, transfer it to the top of the deck.

Then we take the card in the right hand and on it we shift the rest of the cards in small piles of about six or eight cards. The map we needed was at the bottom.

Again we take the deck in the left hand. We shift several top cards to the right hand, and put the rest in approximately the same piles as before, sequentially on top and bottom of the top cards. We do this until we reach the last card you need. Now we put this card in the right place - at the top or bottom of the deck.

When you need to work with several cards, then we act with them in the same way as with one, just keep them together.

second method

We transfer the desired card to the top of the deck in the manner described above. We take the deck in the left hand, the edges of the cards lie on the palm of our hand. All fingers, except the thumb, hold the deck by the shirt, and the thumb rests on the face of the deck. Fingers should be slightly damp.

Focus False shuffle. The card ends up in a known location (three ways)

With the thumb and middle finger of the right hand, we take the middle part of the deck from the sides and shift it in piles of several pieces onto the front side of the cards that we have in our left hand. To do this, we move the thumb a little.

With four fingers we firmly hold the top card in place, simply pressing on it, regardless of the number of cards we grab with our right hand. We shuffle the cards only towards the front side of the deck. Thus, the desired card always remains at the top of the deck.

A third method

In this method, the desired card is hidden in the palm of your hand. We put the desired card on top of the deck. To do this, you can use any method of volts. We take the deck with the shirt up in the left hand and cover it with the right hand along.

With the thumb of the left hand, we slightly push the top card forward. With the ring finger of the left hand, we slide the card into the right hand, which is half open above the card. We hold the card in a half-bent right hand.

Focus False shuffle. The card ends up in a known location (three ways)

Now you can calmly lower your hand or you can hold the deck between the thumb and the rest of the fingers of your right hand.

You can invite someone to shuffle the deck. This will give you the opportunity to see what card you have in your hand. If you need to return a card to the deck, then you can do this by transferring cards from one hand to another or by taking the deck from the table.

If the card is too bent in your hand, then you can easily fix it by making the cards jump. We will describe how to do this later.

With large hands, a magician can hide not only a few cards, but an entire deck.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

transparent paper 22.03.2013

The Japanese companies Oji Holdings and Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. managed to obtain the first samples of transparent paper, the joint statement of the enterprises says. The invention of transparent paper will pave the way for flexible screens and displays that, using the properties of paper, can be folded into a tube, unfolded like a roll of paper, and folded like a sheet of newsprint.

Externally, the obtained samples are indistinguishable from a transparent polyethylene film. The main difference is in the composition. The transparent paper is made from cellulose nanofibers, which are only one 20th of a human hair thick. Paper is lightweight, flexible, and environmentally friendly as it is easily recycled and does not harm the environment.

The developers expect that their product will be able to eventually replace glass, for example, on tablet computers. In the future, this will pave the way for the creation of flexible tablets, screens and displays that, using the properties of paper, can be folded into a tube, unfolded like a roll of paper and folded like a sheet of newsprint.

The weight of the thinnest of the experimental sheets is 8 g per square meter, the densest is 85 g per square meter. Both companies intend to begin industrial production of transparent paper within three years.
