EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Ace travel. Focus Secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The attention of the audience is focused on the performer's hand laid aside, in which he holds the ace of spades. A moment - and the ace disappears from the right hand, and appears in the left hand of the performer, set aside. But not for long. The performer stands on the stage with his hands spread apart in different directions, and the ace appears and disappears alternately in his left, then in his right hand. Moreover, when the ace disappears in one hand, the performer moves his shoulders and immediately catches a card in the air with his other hand, which appeared as if from behind his back. He does this several times, and the card, obeying the movements of his shoulders, travels invisibly from one hand to the other (Fig. 83, A). Then he catches his "traveler" and puts it in his pocket, ending the trick.
Focus secret: The performer takes out of his pocket two aces, folded together. Turning sideways to the audience, he passes one ace, say, to his right hand, and at the same time hides the other behind his left palm (from the back), holding this card by the edges between his little finger and forefinger. The performer shows the card in his right hand to the audience. Then he makes a slight downward movement and hides this ace in the same way as the first one in his left hand. Both hands of the performer at this time are extended in different directions, with open palms. On their back sides, held by the little fingers and forefingers, both aces rest invisibly to the spectators. Moving his shoulders, the performer makes a slight tilt to the right and at this time, as if catching in the air, shows the audience the ace in his right hand. Then, hiding it behind the palm, he again makes a movement with his shoulders, a slight tilt to the left and already shows the ace in his left hand (Fig. 83, B). This is repeated several times in a row. It is only necessary to assimilate and work out the element of manipulation on which the disappearance and appearance of a card in the hand is built. First movement: the card in a horizontal position is held by the edges between the pads of the index finger and little finger from the side of the palm of the hand. The ring and middle fingers are extended along the back of the card. This is the position of the hand when the card is shown to the audience (Fig. 83, B). The second movement: the middle and ring fingers are bent behind the card, then the little finger and forefinger holding the card are slightly bent. At this time, the thumb comes to the rescue, supporting the card from the edge adjacent to it. Then the thumb goes to the side, releasing the edge of the card (Fig. 83, D). Third movement: the middle and ring fingers straighten, turn the back of the card and cover it with themselves. And the little finger and forefinger, still performing their functions, firmly hold the card, which is already lying along the back of the hand (Fig. 83, E).
