The assistant takes a handkerchief, and the magician holds a bouquet in both hands and then passes it to the assistant.
Props: A large bouquet of feather flowers (it will include 50 or more pieces). Focus secret: The secret of the trick is that feather flowers, well and properly made, fold up portable and take up very little space. Such bouquets can be made from white duck or goose feathers. It takes a lot of time and effort to create a bouquet. But it will be rewarded with a focus effect. Focus preparation. First of all, about "charging". It should be done as follows: having folded the bouquet tightly, place it under the unbuttoned trousers on the left side of the abdomen, lowering the bouquet as low as possible to the left knee, then fasten the trousers, exhale the air and spread the bouquet well on the leg and stomach. Make sure it is laid evenly. Then, by the laces, pull the bouquet a little higher than the belt of the trousers, straighten the loops of the laces and cover them with a vest. "Charging" completed. For the appearance of a bouquet, you will need to exhale strongly and tighten your stomach as much as possible. To do this well, you need to practice. Making flowers. First you need to find feathers. They must certainly be white, since they will have to be dyed in different colors: red, blue, yellow, blue, etc. The paint is taken aniline for wool. Feathers are only suitable for whole, thin and wide. For greenery, feathers are taken narrow, but also thin. Having prepared feathers, you can start making branches. For this purpose, thin steel wire is good - 0,5 or 0,7 mm. Make a branch out of wire, as shown in Fig. 218.
It is better not to make separate branches, but paired ones from one piece of wire, bending it in half. For the middle branch, you need to cut off the longest wire - you will need it in order to wrap the ring at the bottom of the branch. Wrap yellow-colored cotton wool around the upper ends of the wires and coat it with acetone colorless varnish for strength. Then take a skein of thin, insulated paper or silk wire, or a skein of strong thread. Now you take five or six feathers of the desired color, dip their bases (knuckles) in varnish, apply one at a time to cotton wool and wrap it tightly with thread, making sure that the feathers take the form of flower petals. (It is recommended to flatten the knuckles before applying them to the wire branch.) Each ring of thread or wire should be immediately varnished. Then again apply feathers one at a time, going down the stem of the wire. When you get a flower, wrap its base with a thread and immediately varnish it again. In order to prevent flowers and greenery from slipping down, it is recommended to wrap the wire with a thread dipped in varnish. Having wrapped around the stem and dried, the thread will not allow the flowers to slip. After making the flower, put the greens on the branch, also gradually going down the stem and carefully wrapping the leaves with thread and coating it with varnish. Do not bring the greens to the bottom of the stems. When all five flowers are ready, connect them together and make a ring in the folds at the bottom. To do this, put some thin round pin between the wires and twist the wire on it. The resulting ring must be wrapped with the middle, longest wire of the stalk, and then over the wire with threads or tape so as not to injure the hands on the ring. Then gradually close the entire branch almost to the ringlet with green feathers, wrap it with thread and coat it with varnish. Let the varnish dry well and varnish again the bottom of the winding at the ring. Now the branch in five flowers is ready. The number of flowers in a branch can be any - and five, and six, and four. When the flower dries, test its strength. To do this, pass the flower several dozen times through the bent thumb and forefinger of the left hand, then wave it strongly several times, squeeze and dissolve - if feathers do not fall out of the flower, then the bouquet is made correctly.
